That is a pricey to me for a "untested" PowerFlash. I usually assume untested means non-working. If it were a local machine and I could test it before buying that would change things a bit.

I buy them untested. That way I presume that they don't work and give them the non-working price. Then I take it home and test it. As if you test it in front of them they'll think it is now worth like $500 when it works. This has proved successful on all 3 of my powerflashes. (didn't pay anywhere near $250 for any of them.) Plus if it doesn't work the typical problem is that a diode or fuse is blown which can be fixed easily.
