    Default 50s cell replacement progress

I lightly sandblasted back metal back parts and painted with a gray hammered steel look spray paint. Looks pretty close to the original metal. The cell was sanded and i put a light coat of poly to be sanded and followed withe a second coat to help the new cell stick to the wood better. And my girl dont understand why i keep all my old t shirts.

Took me about 3 solid minutes of staring to finally figure out what the heck was going on in that third picture!!

Looks good. I've used the hammered paint finish on a couple of machines in the past. I have a whole roll of left over adhesive vinyl for my power flash project. After prepping the wood substrate I put a layer of that vinyl down beneath my final graphic to help give it a very smooth finish.
