need help with a ballys black and white machine

my neighbor is moving to flordia and gave me his 1999 ballys black and white double pay slot machine. me and my wife were having fun playing with it. we decide to go and watch a movie after abut 30 mins of leaving the game idle we heard a beep i went to go see what the machine was doing. i notice the top light was flashing and the lights on the front were flashing any ideas what is wrong with it. i tried hitting the reset button on the inside the goes go steady for a sec and when you release the button they start flashing agian. please help..

pictures please also is there an error code number in the seven segment display? Do you know if its a S6000 or S5500? I'll hook you up just need a little more to go on.

i think it is a 5500 not sure the model number on the side is s63m306f0 which when i search for it comes up with nothing. i have no error codes i am including a picture.

there are 4 circuit breakers on the left side of the game right under the power switch. see if any are tripped (popped out). there is no display in the seven segment so most likley its a tripped circuit breaker which means you have a short some where. If no breakers are tripped the the power supply would be next.

they dont look like they are popped out i tried to push them in then turn the machine back on and still nothing but flashing lights. where can i get a power supply from. or is there a way of testing it? i enclosed two pictures of the unit.

try resetting the cpu. power off the game first. I'll look for a power supply you can try. where are you located?

sorry i am new to this how do i reset the cpu?

pull it out and push it back in. with the power off. Do you have re set chips in case it needs to be master reset? while the cpu is out, take a picture of it for me, get a close up of the chip set. I'll see what I can find when I get back to work.

i shut the power pulled the cpu took the pictures when i put everything back still the same thing all the lights are flashing in the front and on the top

no i dont not have the reset chips all he gave me was the machine and a gold key for the side of it

based on my bally 5000 machine...

when there is a error.. the error code showes up in one of the leds used to wins and credis..

this pic shows 4 wins.. 4 paid and 1008 credits.. but if an error is triped it showes on one of these liines...

does your show anything like this??

there is no error codes you cant press any buttons when you turn it on all the lights just flicker. and the top light just flashes.

after leaving the machine uplugged all night i just turned it on and now i got an error code.

check to see that a coin is not stuck in the coin mech.. the only issue with my 5000 is a coin jam from time to time... u should be able to take it out and check it from both sides...

on the front of the circuit boards i have two buttons.. after i clear the coin jam i push and hold both of thouse for 2 or 3 seconds that resets my machine for most errors..

in the pic u can see there should be two rubber button.. mine is missing one of the rubber covers... if i take off the access cover the buttones are right there and easy to push..

80 = rom error
does your have a listing one the inside case what each error is??

i got allot of information hear (thanks Compirate) when i was learing how to fix my machine...

Set Search Parameters

as an fyi i ended up having to buy the clear chips and doo a full clear and reset on my machine...
