How'd you find that on their site? I was trying to backtrack it, but clicking pachinko machines only gets me some popeye stuff, and searching for pachinko doesn't pull it up. Is there a SEKRET CATALOGG?

    Well... don't bother.
I couldn't stand it any longer after this post... and ordered it.
I found that link a while back, too... and kept my eyes on it.
After looking at the machine on the mfg. website... seeing the cool videos (especially the "strip rock/paper/scissors" one.. heheh), I went for it.

And considering I had an unexpected bonus check that day... well...
It went in the cart, I applied my "Valentines Day 10% off" coupon, and checked out. I paid with PayPal... got the order received email... PayPal debited my bank... and all looked well.

    Until today.

"We regret to inform you... out of stock... 4 to 6 weeks... blah, blah, blah"
I hate emails like that.

SO..... Maybe the 4 to 6 weeks was stretching it?
I called and asked if there was a chance it might be sooner.
I was told they haven't had that machine for a LONG time, and don't expect any more... period.
    "OK, how about a "substitution?"
"Sure... let us take a look to see what we can do. Call back in about an hour."
Great!!!! I thought maybe something would be offered to make up for their lack of website maintenance.
    For taking my money.
    For getting my hopes up.
Surely, they would do something, right?

Yeah... They offered me the LOTR for ONLY $499. Oh joy! :-x

I reminded them the mistake was not mine, and besides... I've seen the machine go for much less than that on eBay... around $325 or so... and surely they could make up that small difference for the inconvenience, right?

The lady said she thought they should, and would check.
"Call back in a little while."

    I did... and GUESS WHAT????

They offered me the LOTR for ONLY $475 this time.
They said they checked... and had NEVER sold one for less than $480 on eBay!!!
(OK... the phone filled with smoke at this point... it was coming out of my ears).
"Well, I see one that just went for $305... Can you match that??? Would you like the auction number to check it out?"
    "Yes... that would help".
I gave it to them. They put me on hold.

Then came back with "$475 is the absolute LOWEST we can go for that".
"But you said $480 was the lowest you ever sold one for on eBay..."
    "We can refund your money"
"Did you see the auction I told you about?"
"Yes... Is there anything else we can help you with?"
"Yes... a REFUND... by 5PM, please!"

I got it with time to spare.

So... I'm shopping again... but not at THAT store.

Logic that was at SlotUsa wasn't it ? Did you talk to Joe about it ?

I am sorry to hear that they couldn't do a LOTR for that as that would seem fair.

Just to let you know my funds came but only 1/2 as my girlfriend wants us to keep playing at this online casino so looks like I was going to be out of the market(we split the funds on Pahislos and online gambling....).

It certainly looks like another issue with the loose ends for Slotusa. So they're online system will take your money without having the inventory. :-? Then when they have cash in hand, they give it back after being offered a fair deal on their screw up! :-?

I swear their marketing strategy must be "ready - fire - aim"
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

All I can say is that that is very disturbing.

I was looking forward to also ordering it but now I am not sure I would even if they had it in stock.

If you're worried they might not have their site up to date, sure wouldn't hurt to just give them a call, maybe?

The lady on the phone told me that she was getting those prices from the warehouse manager. I asked if his name was Joe. She acted surprised that I knew his name... "Do you know him?"
"Yes... I worked with him one time in getting some rusty balls replaced."

And yes... I thought I was offering a fair price for that LOTR. The same that it just sold for? How much fairer could I have been? Certainly not $475.... since they tried to BS me into thinking THAT was the lowest price "EVER".

I love Google for searching sites... and that's how I found that ad a while ago. As you can see now (from the link at the top... Lucky's post... it's now marked "out of stock".

BUT... HERE's one that they didn't change... if someone wants to poke them a little more:
    http://www.slotusa.com/product/7420V :smt064

There are many more... but nothing worth the money they ask, IMHO.
I even wonder about ET. Besides, you'll just find out that it's out of stock anyway.

I even tried "dropping" the PachiTalk name... but it didn't seem to phase them, even though they said they heard of us.
    Well... guess what, SlotUSA??
This could have just as easily been a GOOD review of your customer service, huh? :smt017

Well, slotter... when I DID call on Tuesday to get a shipping date, they found my order, and told me it would go out "tomorrow or the next day".
I assumed at that point that it was in stock. They weren't open the night I ordered it.

Yeah it kinda is sad if we have to eliminate them as a supplier as that then just leaves us with Texas.
