And for you Spooner... 500 two tone lippies for $36, delivered to your door!! Just call me the giver today
I bow to you, oh giver! I will absolutely take you up on the tokens ... just tell me how to hook it up and I am there! PM, or public post or whatever makes you happy.

I just have to say it again. This place rocks! Thanks Zcore!

By the way, I will also be happy to take a DD of your hands and I am even willing to pay $300 for it instead of $299!

    An update...

After I provided the photographic proof, he replied:
"SEND BACK THE BAD TOKENS AND I WILL REPLACE THEM WITH THIN ONES , I WILL CHECK THEM BEFORE I SEND THEM . USPS PRIORITY IS THE FASTEST AND CHEAPEST WAY . IT USUALLY TAKES 2-3 DAYS FOR DELIVERY .THEY USUALLY HAVE A ONE PRICE BOX . SEND BACK A.S.A.P. SO THAT I CAN REPLACE THEM .

    SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE .
    RICK"

    I replied...

    Rick,

Just an FYI, there are a few complaints about these tokens. I've gathered a few...

    ...<provided quote from above>

    ...<provided quote from above>

And, one of you previous buyers said this:

"I got the tokens for my home video arcade collection(Pac-Man etc). I have .984 token coin mechs that I will be using in the arcade games. I grabbed about 10 or so and used them to test and make adjustments to the coin mechs. It did seem that there was at least one out of the 10 I grabbed that never wanted to work. Maybe I should do some more testing. I'll sit down and test all 500 tonight and get back to you. Terry”

Tell you what RickÂ…IÂ’m going to be buying an IGT brand pachislo machine shortly. Therefore, there is a strong possibility that these tokens will be useful to me after all. IÂ’d rather avoid a tennis match involving shipping if I can anyways.

I will leave you good feedback since you offered to make it right. It’s the offer that counts with me. However, I think it be wise of you to modify your future auctions going forward. These tokens will not just work in any .984 mech of any Pachislo machine for that matter. According to some of my sources, they are most compatible in IGT brand Pachislo machines. They DO NOT work in my Don Don King or my Neo Magic Pulsar. My .984 Happ coin mechs will not accept the “fatter” tokens whatsoever. They should, however, work in my incoming IGT brand Dragon Dice. Therefore, I’ve decided to keep these or sell them on my own if I have to.

I would appreciate good feedback from you as well. Thanks again.

There you have it...last night, I was pissed off from having my fingers ache over trying to push 500 tokens through my SlikStik .984 mechs just so I could prove my point. Today, I'm coming to a buyer's agreement with Zcore on a (long awaited) DD.

Just goes to show...the Pachi-gods are always smiling on us...some days...they smile a little bit more.

    Spooner:

Send me an email to jac14@cox.net and I'll reply with an invoice for them. Also, I've got 2 of my 3 Dragon Dice sold to fellow PachiTalk members and a "hold" on one for another member here. If he says he wants it over the weekend, it's his, if not, it's yours. I'll let you know...

If you're thinking of me, thanks. I'll stay in touch with Zcore and he'll take good care of me. I think I buy about half of what he sells anyway :-) I may or may not get a DD right now. It's cool either way. I'm still in the "honeymoon" stage with 3 of my other machines right now :-)

Here are the directions to oblivion (no matter where you live, the directions are the same).
    • Drink 1 liter of Tequila or Mescal
Drink the whole thing (including the worm if included)
Spin around in your front yard with your forehead on a baseball bat for 15 minutes
Viola! You are in Oblivion! Say hi to my wife and kids when you get there!
    I hope this helps. ~spooner

Awesome twist, Token gripe turns into DD feeeding frenzy :-)

FYI, I just tried a couple big handfuls of my bi-metal tokens in my Yamasa machines. They ALL fed in my Neo Magic Pulsar, and all but one fed in my Crazy Shaman. I wonder if there's an adjustment that can be made in the coin path that might explain the difference between my MP and evh's?

Ok, PachiTalk members cwstnsko, evh347 and huffb01 are proud owners of DRAGON DICE. Sorry to those others that wanted one. Next up... HOT ROD QUEEN.

Sorry this thread got off topic mods

    Back on topic:

I grabbed a larger sample of the bi-metal tokens and headed to the YAMASAs to satisfy my curiosity. My 1st hypothesis was that the coin path on my Crazy Shaman was dirty, since it just arrived from PP and I haven't cleaned it yet (I cleaned the Magic Pulsar very well when I was playing around with quarter mods. The quarter mod has since been removed.) Sure enough, when I took out the coin path and opened it up, it was in need of attention. I cleaned it up real nice and put it back together and low and behold, The problem changed!!!! Now, all of the tokens pass through the mechanism just fine, but the "thicker" ones fall to the tray below!! I watched closely as I fed them, and they were being rejected just like they were quarters, They are too small!!! I went and got my calipers, and sure enough, the "thicker" ones that drop to the tray measure about .97 where as the "thinner" one measure a little more than .98. So the "thicker" tokens are also smaller, just enough so to cause them to be rejected like quarters. Cleaning the coin path made this more apparent by getting rid of the junk that was making them ride higher in the track.

If I were so inclined I could get them to work just fine by re-doing my quarter mod, but I'll just use them in my IGT Rattlesnake and my new Dragon Dice that I'm picking up next week

Thanks Zcore, keeps the good machines coming, us addicts need our fix :-)

So, how are these tokens made? Are they stamped out? Could it be that the pressure on the press was set too low? Not enough pressure could result in a slightly thicker token that also didn't spread out quite as much as it was pressed. The end result, a slightly thicker and slightly smaller token. Just a thought.

That'd be my guess too. It might be tricky to get the press set just right given the combination of metals involved. It might be easy to overpress the brass without properly flattening the harder silver part.

No Slotter I did not get in on the DD. I have to cool my heels for now. Maybe in the far near future. Not the Stars Wars kind.
