    Default Which do you recommend?

OK guys Im posting here for the first time as I am about to have a real Gameroom and I want to add a Muticade machine.

Which is the best built has the most games is upgradable and has the best play ergonomics?

Would like a machine that includes

    at least these games

    Tempest

    Qix

    Dragons Lair

    Pacman

    Joust

    Robotron

    Missile command

I am leaning towards these so far what do you think?

Global Arcade - Mortal Kombat, Joust, Golden Tee Golf - 80 Game Classic Arcade Game Cabinet

X-Arcade Indestructible Arcade Machine Cabinet With 205 Games.

I have read that control placing (ergonomics ) is one of the most important things when it comes to these type of machines.

No I will not be building my own.

I have the Tankstick control panel hooked to my Mame computer in my bar and it is a really nice setup.
I did not want to screw around with making a panel from scratch.
So I would think that the complete X-Arcade cabinet would be a excellent choice judging from just the panel I have. It really is built like a tank.
All game roms have a backend, so all buttons are programmable on the Tankstick, so you can choose which button you want to use for a specific function and once you set them up, they stay that way.
Tempest is kind of a pain though because there is not a dial like on the original arcade machine but it is playable.

I went with Mame because I had an old PC laying around that was so so...it wasn't good for anything but Mame. The main reason for mame...I can add games at any point. My cabinet (kit from internet) has all those games listed. As for getting a pre-installed unit, I'm not sure if you can upgrade or add any more games.

Hi i bought a games ready made cabinet that came with mame pre-installed, then i added game console emulation systems on it,
sega genisis super nintendo and so on,
also added pinmame and future pinball as the games cabinet has side buttons, and also very handy as an mp3 jukebox,
i use 2 usb external hard drives 1 for the console emulation & 1 for my mp3 music files & mame is installed on the main pc inside the cabinet..
and it is really easy to add stuff useing a usb mem-stick.

The X-Arcade machine. I like that it uses the tank stick as the control board, comes with a lifetime warranty, and you can add your other game systems to it. I've seen it advertised recently for $1100.

The x-arcade for $1100 (currently $799) is for a 'B' grade cabinet (slight blemishes), without a monitor. With a monitor it's $1225 before shipping.

    In case anyones interested.

Well guys the "Gameroom" that I have is not really a game room but a small apt that has become a Gameroom but it is limited to Pachislo and Pachinko machines due to its small size.

I now have a 16'x13' room in Dahlias Basement that will be a dedicated Gameroom. It will have Arcade machines such as a Claw, Muticade/MAME,
ArePachi,Pachislo. 2 Pinball machines , a really cool gum machine YouTube - Wowie Zowie Gumball Machine
a Coke machine. A 70s arcade shooter like cross bow or Shark Hunter and an Electronic dart board. The room was going to be a Home Theater but friends suggested that an Arcade would be more fun. More machines? Whos to argue?
