    another new movie review

    Angels and Demons

the pope dies and all the cardnals meet at the Vatican to elect a new one.

threats are made against some people and the vatican itself and Tom Hanks who doesn't believe in God and has been studing docturine all his life trying to understand everything.

he's called in to find clues to what is happening and who is involves.

it might help if you get to the movie late the first 1/2 hour is very boring with Tom explaining docturine to anyone around,

the second 1/2 hour was a little better, but I was still wondering if I was just wasting time watching it

the last hour is where it really gets intresting, with many surprises and lots of action, fights, shootings, and much more.

    I would rate it a 7 & 1/2

I wouldn't see it a second time though!!!

    movie review

    Night at the museum 2

not a blockbuster movie, but if you saw and liked the first one you'll like this one too

the museum is being renovated with the latest computer generated displays.

all the figures there are put into storage.

Ben Stiller, the old security guard has made a fortune on new goofey inventions and get sucked into the wackeyness of all the figures coming back to life at nite.

lots of goofey action and a good movie to take the whole family too. although some fighting scenes and creatures coming to life might be scarey for smaller kids.

    a happy ending for all

and my Luckydog rating is a 7.

I forgot to mention, in one part of the movie one of the decepticons spits out what looks like a load of pachinko balls out of his mouth down a tube on a roof

when they come out the bottom they are rolling all over the floor, then they all turn into tiny decepticons

my little boy is a huge Transformers fan and he would find that great, Decepticon Pachinko balls!!

however the movie is rated 12A over here

My daughter is going on an organised school cinema outing to see it shortly, so I will get feedback from her too as to whether my little boy can watch it with careful guidance, we have the first movie and he has seen that, but I usually distract him or send him off on an errand if I think certain scenes are unsuitable...

Although I will end up buying it anyway when it comes out on DVD

Had the chance to see the movie UP this weekend with my 6 year old daughter. What a remarkably clever and funny movie for all ages to see. I honestly don't remember the last time I laughed as much during a movie, comedy or otherwise. They offer the movie in 3D or regular, we saw it in regular and we both had a great time. I think the voice for the grumpy old man is Ed Asner, and he was great! If you don't have a youngster to take to this, find one or rent one! You'll both enjoy the movie.

I also saw "Up" recently, and thought it was wonderful. But I agree with Lucky on "Night at the Museum". I would give maybe a 6. A 7 if I had a drink or two...

Post Re: a few movie reviews

Oh I managed to see Angels and Demons recently, and yes it was okay

Not a patch on the Da Vinci Code and I probably wouldn't watch that one again, but it was okay for what it was

I saw no chemistry between the leading man and lady and they could have made more of the large partical collider part of the story, too much lengthy dialogue that was not engaging spoilt some of the faster paced parts of the movie

I'm glad I saw this movie but I think maybe I was hoping for more from it, seeing as the book seemed more exciting, although I admit I never finished the book in the end...

(blame finding this place for that one )

    another movie review

Land of the Lost with Will Farrell

the scenery and special effects were excellent, the story is lame in some parts, but in the long run the movie is pretty good

Will is his usual self with some good laughs and a few not so good!!

the T-rex and lizard people were very well done, not like the old Godzilla movies

Will and two others are transported to another time universe were past and present are both combined.

Land of the Lost - Official Movie Website - Now Playing

I would give it a solid 8 and would probably see it again

I agree Up is very good. We took our 2 year old to watch it. It was her very first movie and she loved it so much we went again. She calls the movie balloon insted of Up.

I saw this yesterday evening and I was glued to the screen for the duration of the movie

I wasn't expecting it to live up to the hype, but I have to say it was held together throughout by the superb storyline and great acting

really was a 'feel good' movie,

I thought this movie would be average, but it was really great and well made. Definitely one to recommend.

the main kids in Slum dog millionaire were paid a thousand dollars each and a trip to hollywood.

thats a years pay in India.

one kids family has recently been evicted from their home!!
