Default Cranky Condor Manual & Key

I bid on a 10x10 storage shed that had been abandoned. Amoungst a ton of garbage and goodies I scored a token operated Cranky Condor machine. (:$15 bid I can verify the year later if need be.

I am in search of a manual and replacement key(s)?

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Mine is definately the '95 model. It dropped a token out when I was moving it into my house. I plugged it in and even played it for a pull. I'll post a pic tonight.

This was taken from my phone-camera. But u get the idea I'm sure. the storagfe shed had pictures, china, jewelry, gi joes/he-man/star wars figurines, teapots, knutcracker sets, japaneese wall scrolls, Native american skins, Silver dining sets ...etc etc etc. It was quite the score.

you may be able to get a key or lock assembly here

    Pachislo Parts $14.95 & Up

some people just take the lock assembly apart and remove all the pins, then almost anything would open it.

most manuals are very generic, most info you need can be found here

Is there a hole on the bottom (under side) right side of your machine? You should be able to reach in and open the door by moving the latch assembly. There are two latches inside one toward the top and one toward the bottom. If you move the bottom latch, both will move and open the door.

This will be the first thing I try when I get home.

I also contacted the site listed above and they are researching the keys. He has a machine but his key opens the top and not the bottom section. He will get back to me. It was probably pieced together.

explain the top and not the bottom, the key should open the whole front door, there will be a second key necessary to reset the machine but it is easier to replace it with a standard spdt toggle switch.

My guess is whoever he talked to has this machine confused with a Pachinko, or the door key confused with the reset key. I have seen pachinko keys that will open the top glass and not the machine, but never anything like that on a Pachislo.

Some older pachislos had 2 part front doors, you can see the 2 locks in the picture above!!

If I remember right the split door was so the machines could just have part opened for refilling (or something like that) without having to open the whole machine!!

There are two doors. The top one does appear to be for refilling. There is a whole in the top back that I was anvle to stick my hand in. A sideways lever is in the back. That opened the top door.

Once in the top door the was a latch to open the bottom. I will include pictures later today. I hit the coin release switch and it spewed coins all over my floor. This was very entertaining to my cat.

After I closed the doors, the machine blinks and beeps at me and shows 0 credits and has a code of HE where the win idicator is. All of my fuses look healthy, There is actually a third key to the left where all of my 3 main fuses are as well.

Do I need to reset the machine somehow now to get it to play again. It did work fine for that one pull when I first plugged it in. It did do the same blink & beep, but I do not remember the HE code.

There is a whole in the back with a sideways lever that allows the top door to open. Once that is open there is that other latch to open the bottom door.

I plugged it in and "found" the coin release button. My cat thought this was very entertaining I didnt so much at 7 in the morning.

So I grabbed a handfull of coins and dumped the rest back in at the top (which is what it is for). But now it blinks & beeps and shows a code of HE in the win LED. See atached pictures.

I'm guessing machine has to be reset, but I still have no keys. Thoughts ideas? FYI, you have all been very helpfull that you sincerely.

The key switch to the right of the fuses is for the reset. If you know how to, you can easily replace it with an on/off toggle switch. I have the same setup in my Eve machine.
Once you replace it...( a key is not easy to find for it ).
Turn switch on. then turn power on.. you should see a 1 thru 6 on the front display. I am not sure ( i think it is the button to the left of the key switch that sets the odds ). then hit the spin knob on the front & turn the switch back to the off position.
It should be ok after that.

    HE=Hopper empty.
you should be able to clear the tilt by turning the door key to the left. Since you don't have a key find the switch next to the main door lock and manually trigger it. Make sure there are coins in the hopper and no jams.
If thats the case no need for a full reset.

Yesssss. I hit the same buttong that released the hopper (except I turned the switch on the actuall hopperr off) and everything works, minus a couple $2 bulbs...and I cant hit a bonus round

I will search the site on how to replace the key with an on/off switch so I can change the odds. Thank you all for your help.
