Default changing from smaller to regular sized tokens

Hi everyone - I recently got a Heiwa Lupin III machine but noticed that it uses a much smaller token than the usual. It's almost like a nickel sized token. I checked the coin mech (pic attached) and noticed the metal plate is what's driving the smaller size. Is there a way to convert this to use standard sized tokens? I looked everywhere online but can't find much info on the metal plate (or find a replacement).
Thanks for your help!coin slot (3).jpg

I think I can probably remove it if I tried but I wasn't sure whether I would need to replace it with a smaller size plate for it to work properly?

I wish that was the case... looks like a solid plate. I assume people make these to turn it into nickel machines?
I'm just trying to convert it back to regular tokens so I can use the same coins for all my machines!
