Default How do you Celebrate The Holidays ?

    Howdy Folks ,

I was wondering if the folks here do a Traditional Holiday or Just Wing It ( For me 1982-2005 U.S. Army sort of dictated it for me I.E. Guard Duty and such as I was and still am a single person )

Anywho both my folks were Polish so some of my brothers and sisters try to hold to traditions

I'm usually out driving the taxi round town. It's a nice time to be a taxi driver as everyone's happy (including the drunks!), at least they are until they see that the meter is running at double time.

As a family we usually do the holiday celebrations and stuff in January, as quite a few of the extended family have work commitments or in-laws to see on Christmas day. So we have a big family get together with my parents in Wales a few weeks later. This suits me just fine, as it means that not only can I work a few days at double time rates, I can also get all the presents in the January sales.

We usually spend the holidays on the road visiting family that is spread all around. This year we will be going to Roanoke for a weekend to visit my family. We are very excited though that around Christmas our Daughter and her husband and our son and his son are all coming to see us. It will be a lot of fun having a 5 year old in the house for Christmas.
