Welcome to the 2nd installment of The Pachisho

Today I draw the spotlight to another older model.

model: Fever Ghost
manufacturer: Daido
year: 2004

Fever Ghost is a 1,2,or 3(max bet) title. Meaning you may choose to spin the reels on 1,2, or 3 medals.
(yes I realize it's self-explanatory... but ya never know)
By not choosing the "MAX BET" you lessen your winnings & at times may eliminate them altogether.
For instance... I chose to spin the reels on 1 medal, & hit a replay for which the machine negleted to award me my free spin.
At one time I was under the assumption that the "Fever" in the title refered to the model of the machine.
Fever Queen, Fever King, Fever Ghost, Fever Franken all share the same cabinet...
however Top Gun and several other titles have the same enclosure without the "Fever" included.
Fever is another term for Bonus, mostly spoken in the pachinko section.

It is equipped with a 4" LCD that plays out well with the reels.
Ghosts, bats, mummys, wide-eyed little werewolfs, vampires & Frankenstein abound during gameplay in animated sequences.
Scary sounds (including screams) billow from the speakers to immerse you in the theme.
The lowest factory setting is still a touch loud (but that's how TikiTim likes it)
Apartment tennants & Adult contemporary music fans will want to install additional volume control.

The graphics practically jump out at you. The reelglass & top glass display bright & eerie images that scream "HALLOWEEN"!
The bellyglass is just as sharp as the rest of the machine; however,
I felt that it could have been designed with a more accompanying font or image.
The amber lights on the cabinet are a nice contrast to the purple & green of the graphics, and the lighting design is excellent.

The one complaint I have about this model is that the base is a mere 9" & the coin tray is elevated 2" above the the machine's perch.
It makes it a touch top heavy.
Opening the door for maintenance or simply scooping out tokens easily causes the unit to teeter. Best to anchor this one.

All in all this is a fun machine. It's visually stunning & a great addition to any gameroom or collection.
