    Default Pachislo.com Volume Mod

I just got my volume devices from pachislo.com the ones 5 for $15. How hard is it to solder them to the board? Does anyone have a pic of the under side to show how the connection should look.

Just cut one of the speaker wires, strip about 1/8" back on each newly cut wire, stick the bare wire through the hole on either end of the volume pot and solder that wire to the pot's tinned board.

Yeah, it's not that easy to update like an L-pad would be, but it's tiny and lots lots lots easier to install. If you have frequent reasons to turn it up or down, don't go with these. If you have ear-splitting hell machines and you're pretty much the only one who plays them, these rock.

Set it and leave it is correct. In fact, although you can turn the control about a full turn or so, only about 1/4 of the turn actually does the volume adjustment from off to full blast. It's pretty sensitive within that 1/4 turn.

Actually, that seems more the ticket for me. Id just want to adjust it so I dont bleed from my eyes ( nothing personal SYPH ) & can play in audio comfort.
Right now Ive disconnected one of the speakers in my Thunderbirds & its still too freakin' loud!

I've made up a similar volume control that I plan on putting on my web site for sale this weekend. (The price will be less than on Pachislo.com.)
    Stay tuned!

I was also planning to order some. I wish they were not so sensitive like Slotter said. They have the Yellow one for machine with the tweeter speakers, but i found that you can use them on all machines and have a less sensitive span range.

Does Big Bear put a volume control on all his machines and mount them down in the token tray beside the ash tray.

I've updated my web site to show the volume controls. They are $1.50 each. I'm also providing 2 free volume controls with each Auto Stop cable purchased in May.

As far as sensitivity goes, they definitely will cut the volume down. Just a small amount of turn drops the volume pretty fast. I used 1000 ohm pots. Depending on the feedback I get from users, next time I may opt for 500 ohms. (These should work pretty well on piezo speakers.) The other slight negative is that I made the wire holes a little small. (See pictures on the web site.) www.autoslot.info/pachitalk.htm
