Question I don't get it. Darn machine pays and pays and pays! Fever Seven Flash

Unlike pachislos, pachinkos donÂ’t have the ability to have their odds set. Of course, you can always adjust pins to change the odds of going in various pockets.

That said, my Fever Seven Flash machine has been paying out too much. I like my machines to be even or with a slight edge to the house. IÂ’ve adjusted the Start pocket pins and the other pocket pins to where the balls just squeeze through and it still pays too much.

IÂ’ve been tracking this now for several weeks. The way I track is to put 300 balls in the tray and shoot until they are gone. (It normally runs through appx. 600 balls total (due to paybacks as you play) to use up those 300 balls.) IÂ’ve been doing this over and over again stopping after bonuses to weigh the winnings and then reloading 300 balls and starting again. Have been doing this much the same as if one went to the parlor operator and bought the 300 balls to shoot.

So far I’ve put in (or bought if you think of it as a parlor) 7500 balls (but probably shot around 15,000 due to payoffs as one plays – but that is irrelevant) and have won 16,800.

Seems to me that is quite favorable odds to the player! Is this machine just too loose? What are othersÂ’ experiences with the Pachinkos and payouts?

My maturi penguins (both of them) pay out more than I put in. They both seem to hit a lot of fever rounds. My maturi apollo on the other hand doesn't. It's fever rounds are few and far between. BUT!!! The one thing I have noticed on all three is that for some reason someone has drilled a hole through a section of plastic and replaced a chip. The exact same chip on all three machines. I wonder if this is the chip that controls the odds. I had meant to post a thread about this earlier to see if other people had noticed this about their machines.

My Fever Arabian Nights by Sankyo is hard to hit the bonus with and we like it like that. We haven't touched the nails either as it helps make it a real challenge.

I think what you are looking at is where they bypassed the CR READER. I have that info of how to do it on the board in back, instead of the plug. If you look close you will see a blob of solder across two pins. it is the cheap way, but the most danderous way. I think it's PC2.

It looks like just about all Pachinko's come in three versions, each with different odds.

It's a flash presentation. Click the box in the lower right hand corner and it will show you the 3 versions (M8Z-1/350.5 & 1/70.1, M6Z-1/338.5 & 1/67.7 and M5Z-1/315.5 & 1/63.1)

    Hey Don,

It would seem the F7Fs have a mind of their own. From the time I first got mine, you could plug it in and expect to hit a fever in about thirty to 45 minutes. Once you hit the first fever, two more fevers would follow right after, and then you would have another dry spell. For the past week or so, I have not been able to play it too often, and I have not been able to get a fever in that time. I don't know if it did it before, but I now notice that the reel lights seem to dim and flicker most times when it is going to do one of its reel dance teasers. I am going to have to devote an hour or more to playing it to see if it will start it's fever mode again.

    Best wishes,
    Dave Wile

I've continued to pour coins into the machine while tracking what's been put in to what's being paid. The machine is catching up - a lot! Since posting this, I've lost 6600 now without any bonuses. That puts it much closer at 14,100 put in to the same 16,800 paid out. Dave, you're quite correct about it going through hot and cold spells!

And, yes, after putting this much time into the machine I have learned some of its teasing and tricks. It makes a "clank" sound (the sound reminds one of the carnival game where you use a sledge hammer to ring a bell) which might mean you are going to get teased or go bonus. At one point, I thought something was wrong with a fluorescent as the left reel was flickering, but that, too, is a sign it's going to bonus or at least tease you with reverse spinning reels or the reels that clunk forward and back small increments at a time.

Another hour put into playing the machine. Not a single bonus since I'd put in the first 7500 balls with the original huge payout of 16,100!

Have pumped in another 8600 now straight with nothing, nada, no bonus. I purposely stopped with 16,100 in and 16,100 out. It's all even-steven again. Talk about streaky. This machine certainly is!

Perhaps, someone else will read this thread and realize it sometimes takes more than the "usually accepted" 10,000 balls or tokens to even out the odds. In this case, it took a lot more -- it took 16,100.

    Hey Don,

I guess I am in for a long dry spell on mine. Even so, I still think the F7F is a splendid machine - and I have never even seen one with a video screen.

We need to ignore Arby and Tulsa. Don't let the Okie bother you with his remark that you have never tried the Cyclic Dark Side. Remember, you don't have to be bitten by a rattlesnake to know it is not good for you. I bet I could probably think of several things Tulsa has never tried, and is most likely not in any hurry to try.

If you have put 16K in and received 16K, then that would put your "evening out" experience at 32K rather than 16K - wouldn't it?

Just tell me that there is nothing wrong with my machine and that it will eventually go into the fever rounds again. Everything seems to be functioning properly except the reels are not hitting for the fever. I am getting the reel tease dance like you described. Our machines must be twins.

    Best wishes,

    Dave Wile

    Hey Arby,

You kill me! You have arthritis in your hand so you get bitten by a rattlesnake on your hand. They cut off you arm, and, sure enough, you don't have arthritis in that hand anymore.

    Best wishes,
    Dave Wile

Is there even a remote relevance to rattle snake bites and playing pachinko? You must have or had kids because that sure sounds just as ridiculous as the driving off a cliff statement.

Now Tulsa, I am willing to bet that Dave doesn't have kids. He would have had to made a leap and tried something new (sex) in his youth in order to obtain them. Now if he does have kids, he would have to admit that sometimes it is good to try something new.

    Just having some fun,
