i am renting a villa in orlando in june the problem is am doing this from a person that i got from the web things just dont seem to add up the details i have been given i just cant seem to back up with fact can any one in the usa be of any help finding out if the details i have been given are right or not this is a copy of the email i got today i asked for the address of the villa also the name of the management comp

I googgled it and that address is in Emerald Isle.

The address is good. It looks to be large townhouses or apartments form the google earth photos. It looks like the same buildings which are shown on the web address. I called the phone number, which went to voice mail for a cleaning service by the name of the management company you posted. That is to be expected as it is around 10 pm there.


Kissimmee is nice area close to Disney World, lots of golf, aligators and intense thunder and lightning. I'd drive there and check it out for you but its a few thousand miles from here.

thanks guys for your help i found this on lastminutevillas that is one of the sites i put my details it so it starting to look ok just a bit unsure about handing £460 over to some one like this i will sleep a bit better tonight knowing the phone numbers good and the addy is where it should be
could some one send her a email from the link below aking for the same dates as me in the 3 bed town house from 23/6/07 to 7/7/07 and tell me what she says???

I used one of these "last minute gotta have it now" sites a few years ago when we decided a week before Christmas that we HAD to be in Disney on Christmas morning. I was very, very nervous that we would get there and have NO accomodations. Everything turned out well and we had a GREAT time!!! If I had to do it again, I prefer to stay "in the world", but this place was really very close and like yours, was a combination of 3 resorts that gave use of all the amenities for the guests of any of the three. I'd ring her in London and see (since it's your first time booking with her) if there was a UK reference or two for the place.

It would be normal for someone to hesitate sending cheques until they were sure all was well, and I'm sure you can judge from the discussion.

Your protection is solely under UK laws, since you're mailing cheques in-country, but there's an awful lot coming together here that looks like a normal Londoner renting their house to all takers, and using a cleaning service to take care of the place. Not so unusual. If I did this type of transaction within the US I'd use trackable post, to obtain some protection under US mail fraud laws; I don't know the equivalent UK laws. But usually I book with credit cards and stay in conventional hotels, so I'm not much use here.

i have spoken to her the phone numbers on her web site are good she seemed ok also i sent the doposit by recored post its just she seems to do things a littel odd i had to ask her for the details like the address of where i would be staying also today i had to ask for a receipt for the desposit maybe she as just started renting out we will see i just want to be sure before i hand over the rest of the money in april
