Default New Comet II Payout Issue

Hello All, I'm just getting started in pachinko and had a couple issues with a Sanyo Comet II. I'll confess that I had barely heard of pachinko before I saw this machine in a local antique store. It's a little rough, but appears to have all the original parts with only one plastic cover broken. After reading the thread on "How a vintage pachinko machine works" I am running into a wall.

The immediate issue is that I can not get the plastic housing off. It appears to be attached somewhere at the bell but it is not a screw. Any insights out there? If I could see what I am dealing with I could probably figure it out.

The fundamental problem is with it paying out. When in the fully reset position (after paying out) the winning ball will get stopped at the Frequency Rocker. It works fine if I manually take the tension off the piece that controls the gate at the bottom of the Jack Pot Seesaw. Any insights would be much appreciated.

look around the edges as there may be a missed screw. it should come off.

common sticking point on this machine is a reset pivot arm that pulls the regulator seesaw back up.

Thanks for the help. I wasn't able to get the housing off. I counted 10 screws removed and looked and looked but never found another. Did they ever have clips that attach these parts? The weight approach is working flawlessly and the machine is great! Is there any way to know when this machine was made? I am estimating mid '70s, but does anyone know more about when the Comet II was in production and if there is a serial number or something that can give more insight into it's history? Thanks again!

Attached are photos of the lower right and lower left corners of the playing field. If anyone knows Japanese and could shed some light on the origins of this machine I would be grateful. Thanks!

Ok, from reading Bill's site, it was licensed through August 1977...sweet! Thanks.
