Default Power for Nishijin No More War 2 machine

    GREETINGS,
Can I use a "wall wart" to power the lights?
It specs out at 10volts/1amp. Is 12volts/1amp too much?

What is the yellow wire and set screw on the power board for?
    Thanks for any help.

Any suggestions for making a case for this? I have to be cheap, because I resale.

    PEACE TO YOU AND YOURS
    MrG

yes a wall wart will work just fine..

the 3rd point is a signal that would let the parlor know when the machine was low on balls so an attendant can fill it.. not used for home use..

as for a case i have had a few pople have me just case or box the machine out so it has nice looking finished sides..

    and of course

    Welcome to Pachitalk.

A 12v wall wart will work fine with 10v bulbs.

I believe the extra power connector was used in the parlor to run some type of parlor light or something of the sort. No need to hook anything to it for home use.

There are are a lot of basic cabinet designs here in the forums. Do a quick search and I am sure you fill find something that will meet your needs, but in my opinion, you will have a hard time recovering your costs if you are looking for a quick flip and make a profit. I'm not sure of the local market in Tennessee, but here in the Bay Area you would be hard pressed to get more than $50-60 for the machine even with a cabinet unless it is fully restored. I just picked up a machine yesterday for $25 with a cabinet and probably 250 balls. Do you have photos of the machine you can post?

You can also use a 10V power pack from an old laptop/etc. Any of those rated for about 1 amp or higher at 10VDC works perfectly for the old incandescent lamps on these machines. If you can't scrounge up a power pack, you can attach a 9VDC battery with a quick connect and mount it on the back. Some people that resell prefer this method as there is no risk to the end user(or liability to the seller) as opposed to something you have to plug in to the wall.

The extra yellow terminal was a light test they ran every morning to ensure there were no burned out bulbs.

I use these on nearly every machine i restore, and have had great luck:

Where is the best place to buy bulbs for the vintage machines now that radio shack locations are mostly closed?
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?

I find them at a local electronics store. You may also have luck at a hardware store. I also see them online, but shipping is usually as expensive as the bulbs.

This is for 12V bulbs, but if you want 7.5V, they have them.
If you are using a 9V battery, 12V bulb burns dimmer, lasts longer; 7.5 bulb burns brighter, burns out sooner.

    Buy 10, reasonable shipping.
