How to Ignore Threads and other options

Is this feature still available? I have way too many posts to read everyday, and would like to block out the forums that don't interest me. Thanks!

I love being able to double click to mark forums as read but I can't any more.

Though this seems easier if it is still available.

In the black bar under the header, click forum actions, click mark forums read. I believe it's only from the index page, though.
