    Default Nice Pachinko Score

A friend of mine has been obsessed with Pachinko since playing my Kyoraku machine in my garage. He's been hunting for games of his own for a while and finally turned up this little lot. Not sure on years or makes too much and they need a lot of cleaning and tuning I think to make them operational. The Sankyo machine is the roughest and is missing parts from the guts but has a beautiful front that should clean up really nice. I may be getting the other one which is similar to my Kyoraku and would make a great addition in my shop. It appears to be fairly complete and is stamped "Okumura yuki" and "Victory" and has the stamping "Monako" at the top. It appears to have all Daiiki guts. The Sankyo will need lots of love, I'm posting the stampings from both machines to maybe get some help I.D.ing these units. Not shown is the third machine which is in a huge wooden case and is coin operated with a large back lit PACHINKO sign at the top. I'll post photos once it arrives.

    Here's the Okumura Yuki

    And the poor old Sankyo

Well looks like you found a nice 1976 Okumara-Yuki Monako machine and a 1974 Sankyo.

I hate to say it but that sankyo is probably best for parts. There is a lot missing, wood is water damaged, and plastics look sun baked and brittle. But the Okumara-Yuki looks like a good buy.

And do post pictures when your coin-op machine arrives.

    100 machines and counting...

Oh thanks, I didn't have much faith in the Sankyo coming back. Good to know that the Okumara-Yaki is a '76. That's the same year as my Kyuraku. How did you determine the dates from the stampings if you don't mind me asking?

What I find surprising is how good the front of the Sankyo looks for how bad the back does. Might make for a good cyclic machine, if you're into that sort of thing. I was going to offer to buy it for just that purpose, until I saw where you were.

And yes, pics of the coin op would be appreciated!

First off just want to say I was off the okumara-yuki is actually a 75. I mixed it up with another tag.

    Pretty much as mopar states.

I have a photographic catalog of machines in my head. Like in the okumara-yuki's case they really only made 3 styles machines for the 70's. Also I have come to realize that the tax stickers with the blue surrounds are always 75. And the ones with the orange surrounds are 76. If they have no border they are likely 70-75 with 73-75 being most common.

If you want to learn some more on the tax stickers check this out. http://pachinkoboy.com/information/dating-your-machine

Also here is the catalog that I think mopar was talking about http://www.pachinkoboy.com/machine-m...brand/nishijin I actually made it which also shows why I know so much on the dates.

I was also surprised at how rough the back of the Sankyo was compared to the front, I really like this machine and feel like all the cast aluminum would really clean up. Must have been stored in a damp basement for years like so many games I'm sure. I'm not sure what a cyclic machine is but anything would be better than wall art. Hopefully I'll be able to get some phots of the coin-op machine in the next couple of days and start cleaning the Okumara-Yuki. I will of course have to order some balls like I did for my Kyoraku, is there a good source that everyone uses and trusts or just random vendors on Ebay?

What is a cyclic machine? It's the coolest.

Hey, looked what finally showed up. I'm really digging the shark motif. I've never really checked out coin-op machines before so it'll be fun cleaning and getting this one running. The back is still sealed up and doesn't appear to have been abused by other interested parties which is good. I'm guessing mid-80s but I'm sure someone here has a better idea than I do. I think it is also stamped "Three Star".

Neato! My guess would be 1976. Pix of insides please.

Looks like someone scraped off a couple of stickers....

'76 you think? Cool, that's earlier than I would have placed it. There were a few balls in the machine so I got to play a few rounds. There doesn't seem to be any bells working so far and the jackpot is low but probably due to there being so few balls in the machine. The coin-op portion is also not functioning. Things look intact but this rod was laying in the bottom. Not really sure where it goes.

Your serial number is within a few hundred of mine. The parts on my circuit board have dates/date codes from late '75 into the first couple months of 1976.

That was a tough one. Took a while to figure it out.

Oh, nice one. I would have been scratching my head, making ape sounds for hours if it wasn't for you.

Does your machine have much in the way of reward bells? This one seems to only have one tiny bell near the bottom.
