One of the little features I like about MM is how the characters onscreen give a quick indication of how long it has been since a bonus. If you look at the members of the party as binary bits with Pig being the LSB and Goku being the MSB, they will "count up" the time since the last bonus. If a character's head is hanging low, looking tired, that indicates a "1".
I once went through an extremely long dry spell where all characters were tired. I took a pic of it...I'll have to dig it up.
