Tomb Raider E-5 Code

Machine gives an e-5 error. I tried the reset button, doesnt do anything. Anyone know what I can do?

I pulled out the hopper, it seems clear. Pulled out the reels, they move freely. The game will reset occasionally and its in BATTLE MODE and wont accept coins. Could be stuck in Battle Mode?

Have you made the full reset useing the inside set key.

What are the procedures, step by step , that you are you are using do to a FULL reset?

An E5 code is usually a hopper jam but could be a dirty sensor ,have you cleanedthe inside of the hopper and the payout sensor useing some glass cleaner on the sensor.Check for a bent token too.

Also try turning the door key to the left to do a soft reset.

Power Off

Reset Key to the Right.

Power ON.

Set Odds in door.

Held down shaft on door for 5 seconds.

Turned key to the left.


Is this the proper reset?

That should be a correct reset. Do you still get the E5 error. Check to make sure the hopper is connected tight on the terminals,That code is related to the hopper in most cases.Can you spin the bottom of the hopper to shoot out tokens by hand.Check the hopper motor connections.How long have you had the machine.Check the coin accepter sensor too and see if it needs cleaning.

Fixed it last night. Took out the hopper took it apart, cleaned the sensor. Same problem. Started playing with the door coin feed and found a big piece of lint on the sensor... BOOM it reset. Sweet. Thanks Guys.
