VG Selling a CR Fireworks Master Kanta $79
Here's a machine I can heartily recommend: Kanta. Notice that I did not say that I recommend the seller, although some people have done OK with them.
These were made in 2002 by Maruhon. Same frame as Super Fine Play.
Depending on who you ask, it's been called "Hanabishi," "Fireworks Master Kanta," and "Fireworks Teacher Intuition it is Thick"(according to Google's translator).
You'll notice that it has a multicolor LED video screen in the center, and this one has great animation. In attract mode, the playfield LED's cycle through several different patterns while the main LED displays all kinds of neat stuff.
There's only one speaker, so it's easy to quiet it down. The music is lively and traditional-sounding Japanese fare. Oh, and each time you hit the start pocket or any other pocket, there is an actual mechanical bell that rings. It sounds like an old bicycle bell--really cool, reminiscent of the old pachinkos before they all got sound cards installed in them.
The reaches are comically dramatic and fun to watch. It's a real teaser but a lot of fun to play. Kanta was my first pachinko and I'll never part with it. If someone could snag this one for $79, even with the outrageous $89 shipping, I think it's worth it.
If the pictures in the fleabay listing are the actual machine, it looks like there might be a nail or two in the top center of the playfield that need to be gently coaxed back into place. VG makes no promises that their machines are reconditioned. So expect that some--or more likely, a lot of--cleaning will be in order.
