    Default New Member..need help

I picked up a New Pulsar Type A Pachislo. The lights on the front work but there’s nothing on any of the readouts. Tried a soft and hard reset to no avail. Skill level doesn’t show up either. But any button I hit registers and lights up on the main board. Hopper dump works fine. Don’t see any loose connections. Any help would be appreciated.

    WELCOME!!!

Sorry, I'm not a pachislo expert, but inside and outside pics are always helpful for when someone that actually knows something gets here!!

Does it work otherwise?? Does it accept tokens, do the reels spin/stop, does it pay out??

I’ll post pics later. Nothing works but the lights. Any button I press lights up on the main board though.

Hello Cbell1 and welcome to the group

Have you checked/swapped the fuses? Unplugging and reseating the connections does help sometimes due to a loose fitting wire or corrosion that gets knocked off. Where abouts are you in Michigan? I've done some house calls to other members while I roam about our beautiful state

Private message me if you like. Pete

Here's the pics. Sorry about the quality. Wouldn't let me use my IPhone or ipad photos. I found 2 fuses and they both looked fine.

Can you get a clear picture of the power supply inside, lower left corner. Also if you have a ohm meter it is good to check the fuses. Sometimes they look good but are not. If they have the same rating then swap them to see what happens. One of my machines seems to run the lighting thru one fuse and the rest of the machine functions thru the other.

Pictures have a maximum size of 2 meg each here so you may need to resize them to display. I typically resize down to a 800x600 pixel size which seems to work well.

I am stumped at this point as I had hoped that I had the same power supply but I do not. I do not even see any fuses on my Yamasa machine like on my other machines, perhaps they are inside the power supply. Sorry I am dead in the water at this point for any help but will continue pondering your problem. Hopefully other members will offer up some suggestions this weekend.

I’m still stumped on this one. Re-seated all connections, checked the two fuses, still no luck. Is it really possible that there are fuses inside the power supply?

I pulled out my power supply today and found one 8amp glass fuse inside. Remember that I have a different machine and power supply so this is comparing apples to oranges. I do not see any fuses or fuse cap holders anywhere else. Perhaps open your power supply to have a look for a fuse or possible burnt/damaged parts. Be careful as some components may still hold a charge even after unplugging the machine.

Does your main computer board have a section of led's for different voltages. I have an Aruze machine with three lit up showing power is there for the 5v, 24v and 30v systems. Just a thought to rule out if you have them and they all light up.

Fixed! Took out the power supply and a cable behind it had 3 wires cut. Fixed them and it’s good to go. Just gotta replace the reel bulb and I’m set.
