I did it; I bought the Owl pachinko from Curt. I can't wait!
I already ordered a ball lifter, and emailed Barry about ordering balls.
Are color balls fun, or just dumb?
I don't know yet if I need to upgrade the game's transformer.
I still need a nice oak stand. Any suggestions?

Congrats on your purchase! I am positive you will enjoy the game.

As regards colored balls, I don't think they are genuine pachinko balls. I suggest you stick with Barry at Republic industries for balls. Joe at Slotusa has a great deal on 5000 balls with free shipping for 199.00 but some will be rusty, all will need cleaning and you might wait several weeks for shipment.

No need for another transformer. What comes with the game should be fine.

Read the various threads in both pachinko and pachislo forums about what stands our readers have found to work for them.

You might want to review the pachinko game setup thread in the Tips, Tricks, FAQ's section that leads off our forums.

Gameroom Cabinet on ebay sells colored balls and while they are a novel idea the 20 or so they sent me didn't make me want to buy more.

The colors are very vibrant. Very dull and the coloring process probably won't last very long at all. Anodized I think.

I do like their cabinets though!

I got a few of those colored ones from Gameroom Cabinet too - yanked them all from play after a while, the red ones were causing a lot of jams. It made the piggies unhappy!

Wow! Thanks for mentioning Game Room Cabinets! :lol: :lol: I just picked up a pachinko cabinet from them. Mine currently has "feet" and it sits on a wall mounted shelf, but it's always been possible to tip it. I too say NAY to colored Balls...

One got jammed in Happy Hospital during fever mode and the game went nuts and I didn't get to see what she does during fever mode.. Now I have to take her all apart to get that damn colored ball out of the game...

One also got jammed in the shooter of my Gladiator. But I cleared that with relative ease...

So all the colored balls are also removed from my games...
