Yes the game play is much better in person. That link was just for a general idea but a bit hazy. It looks more like an amber colored screen that covers the front of the reels when it is activated. The guy in the link has a lot of machines and parts for sale. I did a road trip one day to visit him in the Cleveland area. He set me up with a couple machines (Ultraman ST and Nana Café) and other miscellaneous parts for a good price. That was a fun and exciting day

I'm trying to start slow, first making sure I truly got a pachinko and a pachislo I really want, and then I'll be hunting more on Craigslist to see what else is out there at a great price. It seems like I'm going to get on a road trip within the next few days to pick up a Popeye Pachislo . I definitely do love holographs so that might be something to consider in the future! After all ... there is always space for one more, right?

I am more of a pachinko fan...haven't been much of a pachislo fan. I have had 3 with a video screen...so I do have an opinion to offer. Million God...Not impressed, sold it for a profit almost immediately. I bought a Spiderman 2, hoping it would make me like pachinko more. It was a nice machine, had good gameplay, but I was hoping for more interaction and variety to the video. I sold it for same price as I paid...and gained a stand about 900 tokens, and a token tray. Finally...I do recommend Biohazard! I wouldn't call it a "full screen" (like Spideran 2)...but it does have a good size video screen...15" diagonal measurement. Also English speaking is a plus. However the menu screen, and all text in the game is Japanese. It is a 4 reel machine. Not good nor bad...just different. Hard to find, and usually priced high as well...but a good choice if you get a good deal (like I did ).

The Biohazard pachislo does look very interesting! It seems there is a pretty decent story line going on there. Might be one to look out for!

Left early Saturday morning to visit Wayne in Indiana to pick up my first Pachislo which ended up being the Popeye one. Great guy and amazing setup for sure! We weren't able to stay very long but had a hoot being there. Saw some of the machine you guys were talking about and played some of them. He also had a few nice Pachinko's as well like the Tom & Jerry one which is really something else. Definitely learned a lot about pachislo's while I was there which will help me with building my site and playing them of course.

Anyway, left at 6:00AM in the morning and got back at around 4:00PM so that wasn't too bad. We plugged it in when we got home and ended up reaching the bonus payout 3 times that evening and 2 times today so that was lots of fun. I really like this machine a lot, and loving the theme being Popeye, helps a lot as well. I even learned a little bit of Japanese along the way.

Here are a few pics I wanted to share

Gee that sure is a nice large and bright screen! I like the color scheme. Glad you two could do a deal

I have one of the Popeye pachinko versions which has a smaller screen. It looks dated by looking at that screen size but I still enjoy it.

LOL I have little to compare to since this is my first Pachislo, but I really like it a lot.

One is a good start, that's all it takes to start multiplying!

I've been wanting the Gamera high grade Pachislo for a long time and been eyeing the one at Akimono recently
But even at the lowered price my hobby budget is so in the red

In my top favorites that I own and have owned I would have to say Yoshimune keeps me interested longer compared to my other machines. It might have something to do with the mechanical sliding doors at the top. Just like Dragon Dice has actual mechanical dice and Spin Luck has the mechanical wheel. They all have that extra element to keep your attention for longer periods. Anyway Yoshimune is an amazing machine, oddly it was one of the cheapest machines to obtain in my collection, I paid under $300 and that was shipped to my door like New with plenty of tokens. I use to own a Gamera and it was among my least favorite slots if not the very least favorite.
PACHISLO: POPEYE, SONIC LIVE, DRAGON DICE, RIO DE CARNIVAL, MU MU WORLD DX, KING CAMEL, SPIN LUCK, SUPER BLACKJACK, BETTY BOOP, SINDBAD ADVENTURE, TOP GUN, DEATH VALLEY, NEO ZETZ, YOSHIMUNE (x2), OSU BANCHO, SECRET TREASURE, DANCE MAN & BANG BANG DASH.

My three favorite pachislos are Aliens, Speed Racer, and Gundam One Year War. All are great machines and have great gameplay. For pachinko, I love Yamato Resurrection. It has great video, incredible light effects, and cool animatronics.

I'm still fairly new to this..
My play experience is limited to 3 Pachinkos.. Macross Frontier, Eva 8, and Nadesico. Out of the 3 I prefer the Nadesico machine.. mostly due to the animatronics and the animation it goes through when it launches its main gun.
As for Pachislos.. I have 5.. Golgo 13, Nadesico, Evangelion Path to the soul, Evangelion Pulse of life, and SDF Macross. Playwise I enjoy SDF Macross.. However on Asthetics I prefer Evangelion Path to the soul.. The animatronics again are great.

speaking of youtube.. I have some vids myself.

I need to get some of my other machines.. now that you reminded me.
