    Default Vintage C payout mech

    Hello Team PT

I picked up and have been working on this model(type) C.
Very easy to work on. Problem I'm having is I think there's a stop piece missing from the payout mech. Too many balls bunch up and will not allow the rocker to move freely.
Was hoping another member would supply me with a photo of a working one so I can try to manufacture a solution. Everything else seem to be there even the lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have very simliar machine. I looked at my current photos.. but they are all with the covers in place. I will try to take a photo when I get home later today with the covers off and post them. Unless someone beats me to it.

When I manually release the payout mech(tilts downward) it return's to the upright position by itself. Might be a counter weight in the back on this one. When I took it apart to clean I wasn't looking for it, being the first time I've worked on this configuration.

The two mech's look similar. I'm hoping Rusty' is the same and can confirm the missing counter weight.

Here's my All-13 Model C. I have an All-15 and it looks the same except the ball stops and top guards are different length.

    Hope this helps!

    That's the same thank you
the brown piece is what I'm working on. My mech has clear lips on the top which keeps the balls in single file. Does the yellow piece on yours do anything else?
My first prototype failed but seeing yours I know I 'm on the right track.

No, the yellow is just a guide to keep the balls from 'raising up'. (and I hate it when that happens!)

    That does sound painful

    I'm pleased to report success
It took 4 try's but It's working like a champ now thanks to the PT help~desk.
The third attempt worked but realized the machine was suppose to paying out 15 not 13 ball.
I might end up making a 5th just to clean it up a little but this one I tested 50 times and not one miss

    Thanks again for the help

I seem to always have a supply of copper flashing and sheet metal lying around. home depot/lowes

I use the sheet metal when strength is important and the flashing for malleability.

    ~Update~
Finished cleaning this machine up and my boys and I really like it.
At first I thought there was a Peeps in the middle but then realized it looks more like a Prairie Dog or Gofer I think. Reminds me of a junk yard with the dog, frog and bear lounging around on the surface and tunnels leading to the main features underground lair.
All three lights work and the machines has a cool foul return which brings the overshot ball back to the front feed tray.
