Default I thought I'd give retrobright a try

Well, Ithought I'd give retrobright a try. My dancing clown vintage takes the brunt of all of my experiments, but it also works the best. So, when it came time to try out retrobright, the dancing clown got the nod. You can see in the pictures, nothing real dramatic, but there was a little bit of discoloration down at the bottom of the white/cream part that I retrobrighted, and overall, the parts have a lot more uniform color (kinda hard to see in the pics). The first pic shows my retrobright chamber, the second shows the science experiment in my garage (note the packing peanuts emmadog was kind enought to send me ). Then a before and after of the parts and the machine with the parts installed... I know we've had some threads talking about retrobright before , but this was my first try. For those who haven't heard of it, just do and internet search, and there is a wiki site that'll give you the recipes/how to to do it... make sure you follow the safety directions!!!

Nice job. I've had the same results- some were night and day difference and others were not as dramatic but all were an improvement. Some took days and some took a few hours.

It is hard for me to make out a real difference in the pics of just the parts, but the pic of the reassembled machine looks great!

The pics look GREAT! I'm going to tearing down the plastic on my nishijin soon and this just might work.
