I just got this tip in my email

((( Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator.

Yes, just be careful you know they are outside and not inside when you press that. The sudden sound of an alarm will cause someone inside to become very nervous and not think straight and they may hurt you in an attempt to shut off the noise..

well i would think the main thing would be to keep them out once they are in your pretty much screwed. I would think someone thats broken in to a place is expecting the worst.

while you in your groggy state reaching for a gun and then hoping for the best...

not condoning not protecting your property and all just a real bad situation to be in no doubt..
