    Default New Sea Story Questions

I just purchased New Sea Story - my last pachinko machine was a '70s Nishijin DX (still have it). Got it from Hopson Enterprises - arrived very well packed in excellent condition.
Anyway - I'm trying to figure out gameplay and have figured it out for the most part. What I still don't understand is this:

    1. What do the four lights UNDER the display mean?
    2. the 4 or 15 balls - when do you win 15? I haven't noticed anything happening when I go through the side gates - do they only pay off certain times?
    3. What is the best pin to aim for?
    4. Does the machine store credit for more than four spins?
    5. Is there anything more to the gameplay that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance... I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks and have learned a lot.

    First off, welcome.

Secondly, you got one of the best pachinko machines there is available now (IMO) so congratulations.

Now, to the answers to your questions:

    1) Those lights are the memory for the digital sub-roulette.

    2) You win 15 balls when you get a bonus or jackpot (when you get three of a kind), the jackpot door located near the bottom of the playfield opens and there's a 15-ball payout per ball that enters.

The top picture shows the typical route used. Visually speaking you should be hitting the top pin left side just under the first loop of the "S" in "Sea" (not sure exactly what cel you have though)

    4. No
    5. Probably a lot, Sea Story is a relatively simple machine but has some intricacies to it. How much do you know of the gameplay (referring to the ROM)?

Thanks for the quick help Rupan!
I have what I believe is a red M56 machine.
I haven't noticed winning anything when I pass through a "go" gate. Should they pay off all the time?
As far as the gameplay - the ROM as you say - no, I have no idea of any strategies I should be using - what I should do.
Also - the four lights under the display - are you saying that they are the count of the spins owed? There are four lights above the display that do that. If you mean something else can you explain?
    Thanks,
    Rich Quindry

This is the M56 cel- yours?

The "go" gate is connected to the stary claws opening. This may be a little hard for me to explain but bear with me .

The start claw opening feature is one which is a sort of throwback and is supposed to be a kind of aid to help players get an extra chance at getting a spin or two. It is activated by shooting a ball into the "go" gate causing a sub-roulette start--on this machine the sub-roulette is the two small red "O" and "X" lights under the red-shelled turtle. When this roulette hits "O", the start claw will open, typically once for 0.9 seconds during normal play and, during bonus and chance play, it's (I believe) twice consecutively for 1.2 seconds with a .02 second delay between each time. The four lights under the display save the number of times (up to 4) that you can spin the subroulette.

As for the general gameplay, I'll do a writeup later this week or around Christmas. I have some other work that the slavedri....I mean other members of this board would like me to get to first.

Hello Rupan. Did you ever get around to doing the New Sea Story gameplay writeup? I bought this machine very recently, and I'm really enjoying it. Now I'm keen to learn everything about it, so some kind of guide would be great. Many thanks.
