Default model b payout lever sticky?

Seems like my new Sophia has a slightly sticky payout lever. Other than removing the cover is there anything else I should be looked at or adjustments I should make?

It seems like the machine doesn't do it as often when there's a lot of balls. It could be my perception though.

The lower ramp needs to be full or there is a lock out mechanism that prevents payouts.

The top back tray needs to be full or there is a flag that blocks shooting balls.

How many pachinko balls do you have?

Please post a few pictures if you are concerned and please check out the Model B video sticky thread.

20150122_211232.jpg20150122_202738.jpgThanks for your help. I've got the flag lever pushed in the up position for testing purposes and I think I've got a few hundred balls.

I need to get the machine thoroughly clean and 500 new balls to figure it out completely.

I'm not sure if I should go through the trouble of removing the big cover or leave it alone for now.

I've got all of the balls in the same places as the video.

What happens is that upon jackpot the ball occasionally doesn't hit the payout lever correctly enough to fully extend the lever all of the way down. This starts a chain reaction as the 2nd ball pushes the lever down possibly getting backed up or ejecting the first stuck ball.

From what your describing it just sounds like you need more balls. If you do in fact think something is sticking or gummed up and moving slow, take it apart and rinse it with some water and cleaner (simple green works well).

I think you just don't have enough balls to depress the levers that block the arm for the win ball from traveling all the way. You need to have enough balls to push those levers down to in tern let the other arm move all the way.

Thanks. I'm thinking that might be the case. I've ordered 500 new balls from eBay. While I'm waiting I'll do a little cleaning and lubricating with dry lube.
Some of these covers seem pretty tricky to remove without breaking.
Thanks for your help and welcome note.

    first things first..

    Welcome to Pachitalk

there are a few pivot points that might need some cleaning.. i never use lube unless it is a last resort.. these things run there best dry.. take a look and make sure everything is running smooth..

the long arm that the winning ball rides down on.. it has a pivot point on the lower right side.. i have seen a few machines where that point is dirty and causing friction.. also the jackpot itself has a rub/friction point that trips the jackpot.. (center of the center of the jackpot mech) i have seen where this point is dirty or not smooth.. a f=good cleaning or light polish will help as well.. but be carefull its plastic so dont get crazy with a file...

Welcome to PachiTalk and thanks for the photos! That center feature always reminds me of a clown with an ice cream cone for a nose. So does my brother in law.

thanks to everyone for your help and assistance. It appears that a thorough cleaning has helped everything work much better some serious Gunkola.
the main jackpot picture reminds me of my brother-in-law occasionally as well lol :-)

I've got the new glass in and did some serious polishing to the frame I think it looks much better now.

I started polishing the brass pins but that's it seriously insane job.

Yeah that ends up taking a while. Usually I don't polish the shafts unless I pull them out, so I end up doing only the heads. Which still makes a HUGE difference.
