    Default My Pachinko game

I bought this game for my Dad on Father's Day in the early 70's. It's got a lot of miles on it and could use a good cleaning, but everything still works including the lights! My entire family has enjoyed this for the past 40 years, although my Dad passed away many years ago. I know there are thousands of similar Pachinko machines just like this one, but this one has a sentimental value that no other has for me. Here's a picture of it:2gy0dig.jpg

You usually can't put a price on sentimental value. The machine that had sentimental value to me was given away by my aunt (long story). I've since gotten one like it, but it's not the same. Put a spit-shine on it and keep it forever.
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?

I'll hang on to this one until checkout...then I'll pass it along to the next generation in my family. Hopefully, the tradition will carry on long after I'm gone. Bigdog, what kind of dog is that in your avatar?

I think the Bigdog is a Newfoundland...a buddy of mine had one that looked like it...

Max, thanks for identifying my machine. 1971/72 would be the time frame when I purchased it (brand new).

I'll be careful with any cleaning I do...my Dad used a red label maker and put, "No machine gunning, please! Thanx." I smile whenever I read that- I'd hate to have that damaged by any cleaning agents. I'm pretty mechanically minded, so I don't think I will get into too much trouble in the back of the game. I like the fact that it's all original and totally functional. It kind of reminds me of the Mousetrap game my sister had when we were kids. Fun stuff!

    Thanks, again!

If anyone is in need of pictures of a totally original, just like it came from the factory, still functioning (although somewhat dirty) Pachinko machine, let me know and I can snap a picture of any part of the machine and post it here. I may not be on here very often, since my machine is working fine and I don't collect Pachinko machines (if I start another hobby I'll end up in divorce court). Let me know if there is anything about my machine that would be of any help to any of you. Thanks again for the warm welcomes and the info you've shared.

Welcome to the family. I said the same thing when I got my first machine. A little over a year later the collection has mysteriously grown a little.

The trick to staying out of divorce court for me was having my wife play the machines and get interested. Oh and of course a few trips to the jewelry store.
