Default outbid on YJA on this vintage

got out bid by one increment (250 yen = $2.50). wonder how high the other buyer had as their maximum. I went to $75, maybe will go higher next time.

shipping will be $200, plus fees.

was trying to order my Xmas present early

anyone know if kiai ever uses a snipe program?

yeah. hard to know. i have seen some of these with starting prices of 4-500 USD, so this one starting at $50 seemed worth a try.

I figured that even though it was a little banged up and moldy, I could take the wood apart and refinish it.

    maybe next time.

Can't snipe on JYA because auctions extend until bidding stops.

That's not true for all auctions, it's a service you pay extra for. I'm amazed Ebay hasn't introduced something like that, great for sellers, not so great for bidders. Does make it more interesting to watch an auction and see it reset for another 10 minutes, then again and again till someone gives up

I will have to ask kiai about sniping then, next time.

there were no bids at all on this item until the last 2 hours, after kiai put in his bid.

maybe if we put the bid in the last 5 minutes, they wouldn't have as much time to think about running it up?

I'll keep looking. that's the fun part anyway

Sniping is good if you are the sniper.
