Default I inherited two Nishijin Super Delux machines

Hello everyone, I have recently inherited a couple of Nishijin super delux machines from a late friend of mine.
One has a playing cards theme and the other has a couple of sumo wrestlers in the center.
I know these use to work years ago when my friend was alive, but they've been in storage for a couple of years.
I know nothing about them and don't want to mess them up trying to get them up and running without some knowledge on how to go about it.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
My friend also had a large pinball collection and they are a completely different animal.
I'm in the Portland, Oregon area and would like to know if there is a group of Pachinko enthusiasts around here.

you have two model "B" machines..

the first one is a power flash.. its kinda a sought after machine.. power is not required to play it.. but to get the most out of the machine it will take 24volts of power and love you..

the second is a more common machine.. power will be needed for the lights to work.. but thats all the power does for that one.. bothe look to be mid to late 70's machines circa 1976

pictures of the backs would be a help

take a look at these for help geting started..

Sorry to hear about your friend. But we will help you get those machines working.

What you have there is a 1974 Nishijin Model B T-Bird Powerflash and a late 1975 Nishijin Model B (Sumo)

The powerflash does have some extra setup required to play and certain power has to be sent to certain places.

I think we have a few members in the portland area (can't remember who though). But we will be able to help you get those up and running.

First thing to do is you need to have a minimum of 500 balls to make them work. You can find balls readily for sale on ebay (just make sure they are engraved and ARE NOT gold.)

Also when you get a chance can you post a picture of the back sides.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. And once again welcome to PT.

There is a large bucket of balls in the game room.
I will get some pics of the backs tomorrow.
Any idea what these are worth?
I'm involved in a trust and will have to compensate the other inheritors for the value of them if I keep them.

I would value both of them together under $150.00.

if the other inheritors say they are worth a lot more, offer to let any of them to buy them for their higher estimate!!

a lot of people think because they are old they are worth a small fortune

if the balls are corroded or pitted and won't clean up good, they basically are slingshot ammo

    value is damn hard..

    location location location..

how bad someone wants them.. i have seen machines for for (well lets just say ridiculous amounts) and i have bought them for 10.00 dollars..

the power flash is missing the ashtray.. but a more valued machine..

IMHO i think fair value 100 to 120 bucks.. the sumo 70 to 90.00 bucks.. balls are probably 6 to 7 cents each.. machines that are known to be in good working order are worth more.. machines that are as is?? well??

this is Pachitalk.. others will disagree

Probably around $120 for the powerflash and $60-80 for the sumo.

Hi there I've recently gotten into collecting Pachinko machines and happen to live in Portland. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I'd love to take a look at your machines sometime, I bet I could tell you what if anything is wrong with them. If you are interested in selling them and your Pachinko balls we could talk.

Amazon sells ball bearings in the 11 MM size. I think I bought 10 pds and it was enough for two machines.

I love both machines, especially the power flash. I recently missed out on a power flash listed on Craig's list in Chicago (which I am still kicking myself over) that was listed for 70 bucks. That might have been a little low, value-wise, but I would agree that the value for both of your machines would be about 150 dollars total.

Keep them, fix them, and play them--you will have a nice memory of your friend.

Lol, classic Pachitalk post; random new user creates account to ask “what’s my pachinko worth”; hears estimated valuations lower than expected; new user promptly disappears, never to login again!

Going forward we should pull such poster’s leg a bit and claim; ohhhhhh THAT particular model is worth big $$$$$$, $1000 minimum; maybe even $2000

There’s another one in Michigan for sale! He who hesitates is lost!
