    Default Newbie Token Size Question

Is a Fannini Slot the same as a Pachislo and are the tokens the same size? I am asking because I want to buy some tokens from this place and they are saying they are fannini tokens. Thanks for your help.

Hi Randy... I've never heard of a fannini slot, but when I did a Google search on it, it appears to be the name of a supplier. What machine do you have, maybe we can steer you in the right direction from there!

As far as I know, the Tomb Raider should take the standard pachislo tokens.

There are a lot of tokens available on ebay that specifically say Skill Stop Slot machines or Pachislo tokens.

You can also do a search on the site here to see which vendors the members find to be reliable and/or cost effective.

I understand that, but this guy I want to buy these from says this "LOT OF 500 25 Cent GOLD TONE Quarter Size SLOT TOKENS Marked 777 on one side and BB $.25 Fannini Slots on the other." I don't know if they are actual quarter size or if that is just what he is saying. If they are actual quarter size I do not think they will work in my machine. That is what I am trying to figure out.

They are probably custom tokens for an existing or formerly existing slot supplier. If you don't think you can trust the information that you have, I would find a different source.

The price is so right though. Do you know a good place I can get gold .925 tokens without paying an arm an a legg? By the way thanks for all your help.

I haven't bought tokens for quite some time...but we do have sponsored links at the top of the page that advertise tokens...AND clicking them will help support the site.

Good luck to you...I'm sure if anyone has gotten a good deal on tokens recently, they will share that info.

Tomb Raider uses a .984 token, as do most Pachi. A .925 will just walk on down the hall.

Why? I used an old Chucky Cheese token that was copper.

I think it is because the copper is easier to bend...and the appearance doesn't stay nice.

By the way I tried the links above but could not find any gold tokens at an affordable price.

No idea if they are the wrong size. I thought they were that size. All he is saying is that they are quarter size. If you just eyeball it you can't tell the difference between a quarter and a token. I asked him to match it up but he has not gotten back with me.

Quarter size will not work in a Pachislo.

Although the difference is very small and you can't really tell very easily by eye-balling it, anything the size of a quarter will fall right through the coin mechanism.

If a quarter would work we wouldn't have some people trying to figure out how to modify them to take quarters and they would probably be illegal in a lot more states than they are now.

I know and that is why I do not want to buy them unless I am sure they will work. I asked they if they will work in skill stop machines, but he said he did not know about those types of machines. I guess it is better not to take the chance.
