Default Hopper just spits out all of the tokens

Ok, I have an Aristocrat Manekineko plus Daruma machine. I finally got tokens for it. I put the tokens in the hopper, turned the machine on and the hopper proceeded to shoot out all of the tokens!!! I can't keep any tokens in the hopper. Can anyone please help me and tell me why it is doing this??? Thanks!!!

It could be spitting out unpaid tokens or the hopper drop switch/button could be stuck. Check the switches/buttons & make sure none are stuck down. You can also try to do a full reset.

Sorry about my bad English. Hope you'll understand this.

Before doing anything you should ask from where you bought your machine. If there is any warranty you should return the machine or ask service.

If the reset does not fix the problem check the hopper switch inside the hopper. Every coin payed out will move the switch inside the hopper. If machine has to pay out for example 8 coins the hopper will rotate as long coins moved the switch 8 times. That way the machine will know it has payed out 8 coins. So if the hopper just keeps rotating the machine may not get signals from the switch. Check all connections and wires to the hopper. Also check if coins you are using will actually move the switch. Sometimes the switch or some lever can be adjusted. Someone may changed it to work larger coins so smaller casino tokes will not work without adjusting it to back. I hope this helps.

It sounds to me like you have the hopper switch in the wrong position.

First of all, thanks to all that have tried to help so far. This is where I stand so far (and I think I may have some serious problem here). I checked the payout button on the front of the machine. When I pushed it, a little red light lit up on the circuit board on the inside and when I released it, the light went out. I would assume that means that the button is operating properly. I took the hopper apart. The hopper itself appears to be in operating order when I put a token in one of the hopper slots and rotate the wheel by hand, the token shoots out the correct spot. When the token shoots out, it moves the "hopper switch" and looking underneath the hopper, the metal arm appears to be moving properly. So what makes me think I may have a major problem is the following. I tried to reset the machine. With the reset key in the reset position, I turned the machine back on to start to reset it. When I did, the hopper started spinning again. And as soon as I turned the reset switch back to normal to complete the reset, I got the HE error. There are two power switches inside the machine, one for the main power to the machine and one for the hopper. So the bottom line is whenever the power is turned on to both the main and the hopper, the hopper is spinning full or empty (in reset mode or normal). However, when the power to the hopper is off, the machine will operate, but obviously will not pay out anything. So this would tell me that for some reason, the hopper is getting power to it when it should not.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

LOL, ok, after posting the last post, I did some searching through the old Support tickets and found that someone else had the same exact problem as I did. The problem was that I was mistaking the hopper power switch for the hopper dump switch. So instead of turning the hopper on, I was actually dumping the hopper...OK, so I feel stupid. However, I have learned a lot about this machine since buying it. Again, thank you all for your help!!!
