Default New Table Mounted Cabinet Design

I just finished this table mounted cabinet for my recently restored Sanyo Comet-II. It is constructed entirely of red oak, except for the ball return chute. It uses automotive “bottle locking” funnels to direct the “lost” balls away from the back of the machine and then down to a wooden collection funnel that directs the balls into a collection bin underneath the stand. (Many thanks to the Pachitalk member who suggested these plastic funnels - unfortunately, I haven’t been able to locate his reference again to properly give him his due). Another feature of the stand is the third top mounted funnel to load balls from the front of the machine. Finally, the machine is held firmly in the stand by four screw clamps. The clamps are screwed into metal inserts which have been pounded into the inside faces of the two vertical boards. The tips of the screws have 3/4” diameter metal caps with an attached felt pad that clamps the frame while not digging into it.
