Default powerflash from petaluma... now in berkeley, soon in TN

just got back from a very wet drive to petaluma, about 40 miles north of berkeley. I took the AWD volvo, so it felt fine driving as long as no one else did anything stupid.

here's the pix. The cell's in good shape, all the tulips are there.

i'm going to take the transformer off the back. looks like it's only wired to the 10 vac inputs, so I have a guess that whoever last had it working did not have the secret inner layer of solenoids working

will ask bigdog if he wants one of the dual output transformers I picked up surplus for $10 (if anyone else wants one, I had to buy 4 to make the minimum order)

good to back to the pachi world. my life is now complete

honestly, I'm a little bit scared to just plug it in like that .

If I was going to spend time debugging it, I would take down the wiring and inspect it first and check for shorts and then maybe risk the actual plugging in step.

Mudfud...my wife would like to know if you know Francis Holidiloff. She was the night supervisor nurse at Selinas Valley ER back in the 80's.

I work at the county hospital, natividad. SVMH is where the "insured" people go in salinas, though I think that we are better

new dual voltage transformer's in place.

ready for shipment to bigdog in tennessee!

oddly, the silver box had both the 24 and 10 volt inputs wires together, so I really doubt that the solenoids were working? as I mentioned above, I didn't feel safe just turning on the little box, though it might be fine inside, just not 2 voltage outputs.

one of the fuses was blown, so I put a new one there.

I tripped one of the microswiches and it activated a solenoid.

I figure the rest if for big dog: cleaning out the inside layer and getting the solenoid connectors moving again.

    should be a nice restore.

    did I tell you I love pachi's?

    hey mopar,

I opened the silver box, and it actually looks like it was safe.

there is a 24 vac output transformer and a small rectifier and on/off switch.

I guess the guy that wired it up didn't know about our secret diode bridge in the junction box.

so that means that the whole PF was wired to 24 vac. the bulbs were probably a bit bright, unless they were changed to higher voltage. here's something else for bigdog to check out. they were plenty bright with the 10 vac, so probably a good thing to have used the dual output transformer.

will box her up and send to tennessee tomorrow.

another pachi back in the family

silver box is interesting... looks like a power supply from an Arrange Ball Machine..

never seen one like that on a Power Flash...

High voltage bulb's would be able to handle the voltage for the short turm... Interesting
