If you want it as a collectors piece, you bet! Otherwise, there's much better machines to spend your money on than a Terminator.

    Toonces,

Do you use the Parts Express laminate?

Yes, although I do not use the black ash finish. I use the textured finish found here

I like the textured finish better and the quality is the same that is used on arcade games. It's cheaper to buy it from Parts Express than Wico too. Cut 1 roll in half and you are ready to do 2 machines.

If you need to cover something large then Wico would be the place to get it as their roll is 42" wide by 50 feet. You can get it by the foot though. I need to buy some of Wico's walnut laminate for my Space Invaders Trimline cabinet. Just no time to put it on :-)

I use it also, but I get 3 machine per roll. I cut it for only about a 1/4 inch overage on the pieces. on cases that are wider than 1 foot, I cut the 32 1/2 piece at a angle, 9" on left top to 9" on the right bottom. one set makes two lefts and I cut the next just the oppsent to make two right sides. the top a piece that 1/2 wideer that the top by the 2".

    I hope this makes sense.

Arby, when you do yours you do it in pieces? I do 1 continuous piece and cut the paper backing in the middle and drape it over the machine. I then start rolling back the paper and pressing it down, when I get to a corner I pull down hard and press it in place so it's a nice sharp corner. I haven't tried doing it each piece separately as I thought the seam might show on the edges. The only place I have a seam is on the bottom. I only get 2 machines per roll that way though.

Tulsa, how does PP do it? Can you tell? I was thinking about grabbing their Zett last night just to see but wasn't paying attention when the auction ended.

Yes, I do mine in three pieces, that way the corner is square.

Do your corners on top come out sharp square ?

your way may be better than mine.

I do it as one piece as well. I let it overlap the edges a bit and then take a razor knife to it! Sharp edges as well..

PP uses a hard sheet laminate, almost like formica. They do it in three seperate panels. You have to glue it on with contact cement. I had a small corner piece break off and they sent me a couple of new panels to put on it. They offered to have it sent back in at their cost and do it, but I just had them send the panels.

It was my Dragon Dice and I didn't want to see it leave the house!

Yes they do. As I apply it, I run like a small pizza roller over it to make sure there's no bubbles. With the odd shape of the case, I found it easier to just let it overlap the edges than to try to apply it even with at least one of the edges. The razor knife just slices the excess of and a quick roll over it and it's perfect. I also let it overlap the front facing of the case so the door actaully shuts on it. This leaves the only exposed edge in the rear.

Well, my Governator has finally left the building. Thought I was gonna take it in the shorts until PP sold one for $561. The guy I bought the Galaga Arcade machine from decided he liked the machine and made me a trade so now I have a cool 23 year old original Galaga arcade machine in good working order that still kicks ass instead of LED Arnold. Now, where to put it? It's about 5 times as big as the machine it replaced :-)
