Default What to look for when picking up Pachinko machine?

    Hello all,

one more question ( I really appreciate all the kind responses!!!)

Imatrix gives 90 days warranty for the machines it sells - still, I would like to try most of the functions in the store, to avoid hassles later.

What should I check to see if the main functions work? Is there a check list I could go through before I load the machine in my car?

And: I assume it is safe to put the machine on its back (for transport), it does not have to be transported standing, right?

    Thank you all again!

    Miklos

The back has all the electronics so i wouldnt lay it on its back unprotected(boxed etc)
I would suggest if your vehicle permits it wedge it standing between the back seat and the front passenger seat. and drive carefully.

I/ve transported them in the car standing on their sides.

just make sure the lights on door work, and that it shoots and pays out winning balls.

I put mine on it's side, on the back seat and kind of propped it at an again against the back seat rest. so it was like this _/| and it kinda got wedged between my cushy seats

So putting it on any side should be ok, just not the front or back, correct?

In the store have them open the front glass door and drop balls into all of the pockets to see that they register as they should either with lights, sounds or ball payouts. Make sure that the shooter works through the full range of the shooter knob travel. Look carefully for Burned out bulbs and non working LEDs. Of course this can be difficult as many dont light unless in a bonus round etc. Check the frame for cracks by going over it very slowly with both eyes and hands. Its easy to miss something blatant when your all excited in a store. Make sure the sound is working and not buzzy a sign that the speaker surfaces may be damaged.

At least with the Magical Carpet (I assume that's what you meant by Flying Carpet in the Pachinko is Evil - which it is - thread), when the machine is plugged in, there is a small red button on the lower left of the frame. Press that and it will cycle all the frame lights. Easy way to check those. Another thing that is common with this game is the bulbs in the scimitars on either side of the playfield will be burned out. If they say they don't light up, don't believe it! I can't remember how many bulbs are in each, but they are silicone based bulbs that have 2 holes that fit over pins.

Most machines should light everything as a test when they're turned on.

Good point, if you hold down the Chance button during startup on a Sankyo/Bisty Lumina frame machine you will cycle through the lights as well

first of all thanks for the warm welcome to the site.

so hold down the change button on start up and will do a light test? as it a Sankyo machine in a luma frame.

make sure it shoots and pays out balls look for damged plastic or burn out bulbs / leds.

anything else i dont think it comes with a key are they easy to source in the uk or off ebay?

can only travel upright or on its side.

has the transformer and is in full working order or as far as the owner knows it is.

what is the recomended amout of balls for one of there buggers.

and are there any guides to game play on the indiana jones machine.

I have not seen any play guides in English, events happen pretty much at random anyway so there is really very little you can do to effect the outcome except continue to hit the start pocket to keep your chances of winning higher. I try to get 4 spins banked then try to hit the side pockets to get more balls. During the game there are signs that you are close to a reach ( Indiana Jones) like Indy popping up or the size of a camp fire etc. you'll see what I mean when playing the game but in fact, it is pretty much the random number generator that decides if you win or not.

    Welcome to PachiTalk MaNiAc-Uk!!

I would say that £150 is a good price for Indy,

Good Pachinkos do not go cheap over here and I know that I will have happily paid more than that for mine,

Good luck, hope you win it!!

If you are bidding on the one I think you are, you should ask the Seller if that is a pic of the one he is selling,
as I know that Pic and write up have come from another site, although he may have bought the same one

I know you will check it over when you collect it, but you may need to confirm which cell it has, there is a red cell version and a blue cell version, I believe they have different payouts and fevers

I will post the relevent thread when I get chance to locate it

I'm having a little difficulting getting the Indiana Jones page to open in the Research Centre,

So in the meantime here's a link to a post containing a review of Indiana Jones, which also gives mention of the different specs,

thanks for the heads up if its the one on sercten auction site in co.uk then your right will ask some more questions then if your telling me thats a stock picture off another web site and i dont think he has the keys are they needed for cleaning the machine only.

is im completely new to this can electronics been seen from back and will keys be hard to find for the model.

will look at the identifiers and see if its a old school machine or not..

and is there anything else i should ask still erming and umming see how i feel after the arrival of ultraman club st tommorow from skytvspecials if im hooked on that i will probably end up getting it.

so it wants to be a SF-T (1/399.6) full spec machine. and i will confirm if thats a picture of it or stock footage or if he used the same add that he brought it with.

thanks for all you help i do aprecate it as im more used to messing with jamma games family xxxx in 1 boards than these infact i run a web site covering it all but i dont need to plug as i know its against the rules. but if you need any help with modding them let me know.

right going to ask some questions
