newbie here. Odd problem please help!!!

hi all, some time ago i purchased a NET Zett pachislo/slot from ebay. it worked great for months and then my niece was playing it and she hit the bonus mode(not the first time it has happened i know to reset it). i reset it but now the insert medal light flashes and when i put coins in, it recognizes them and counts them. it gains 3 and then starts putting them in as credit like normal. but it will not start the reels when i hit the start lever and the credit button will not shoot out my credited tokens into the payout bin. i have found two ways to reset this machine and neither work. anybody have a clue? i really would like this machine to not be collecting dust like it has the last few months. any help is greatly appreciated.

Try re seating the 30 pin connector at both ends that is connected to the Payout Board and check the fuse on it.

well i did notice that all the little LEDs(on the computer) that light up when a button is pressed my middle reel stop button's LED stays on. i didnt think it was the source of my problem but according to you it is? would that cause my symptoms? if so how do i fix it? i wiggled the connector but it is hard to get to so i didnt fool too much with it.

Yes, a stuck button would cause your symptoms but its not the connector, its the optic.This is a very common problem. if the button is sticky you need to take apart and clean. or it just might be a little dust blocking the optic. In which case a little compressed air might blow it out. Some time if you press the button over and over it just fixes its self.

the buttton isn't really sticky, but dumb question coming up: what optics are we talking about?

first off un plug the connector to the middle hold button and see if the light goes out . if it does then try to spin the reels and try the other buttons .if it is the switch soak a paper towel with windex then press the button in with one hand then try to clean the inside rim on the switch thats exposed when pushed in .Then try the button about 10 times and turn the machine on hopefully it will allow the switch to fully disengage .

thank you so much guys, you led me straight to the problem! the button wasnt exactly stuck but i took the button out of there, dissasembled the button and noticed there was a piece of plastic loose rattling around in there. after looking at the electronics and such of the button i noticed that piece played a vital role in the button working. so i glued it back where it came off and now the machine works great. thank you guys again soo much i would have trashed it if it werent for yall.
