Current Projects

Well I wanted to take a few minutes and just let everyone know what we are currently working on. Because I mean who doesn't like to see half finished projects.

We have still been busy trying to get the garage all set up. (still got a few more things to do) But in the mean time we have been working on two machines for customers from California.

The first is a 1973 Nishijin Model B (Derby). This machine came in pretty filthy and with a really bad rust spot on the chrome. Luckily through various processes of careful cleaning were are able to save the chrome on this machine. As of right now we are waiting for the background to be printed but you can see what the customer chose. They wanted a slight variant off the original background, and needless to say I think it will look sharp. I'll keep updated on this one as we have a quick deadline at the end of march, yikes! and we still have to build a wall case.

The second machine we are working on is a 1964 Heiwa model A Single Shot. This machine is pretty cool. I have seen a few of these and always wanted one, but I guess I'll take being able to restore one instead. This machine had a rough life and was obviously stored outside for quite a while. The background is flaking off and the frame is starting to separate. Also there are a few parts missing, such as the ashtray and a lens that goes above where you feed in the balls. So if anyone has either of those parts please let me know. Anyways, we were able to still scan in the background and recreate the art to the best of what we saw (plus some impromptu to modifications.) I also think this one will look cool. But then again I think all 50's and 60's backgrounds look cool.

We use local small family owned companies. Seeing we just moved I had to find a new printer, so I'll see how they do.

Well been a while since I did an update.

The Model B we did get finished and it turned out looking great. Though my dad was in such a hurry to box it up that I didn't get a chance to take my nice final pictures. Though I do have some not as nice ones.

Haven't had much time to work on the singleshot. Though we do have about half the nails back in the playfield now (sorry no pics). I'll be sure to post an update on that once we find some time to make progress on it.
