Default just got my second Pachinko Model B ???

    Hey all,

Just wanted to let yas know , got my second pachinko today.

See attached pics. Thinks its a Model B ?? Gotta go back and watch Mopar's Model B video again.

Doesnt' look like it needs much cleaning. Don't see any water damage on the skin. Was the "hosing down video" just on Model A 's ?

That looks to be in a very clean and tidy condition!!

btw i'm thinking it is a Sankyo model and not a Nishijin??

(it's the Nishijin models we usually refer to by model A, B, or C)

Although the videos will be useful to you anyway

    Very nice find indeed!!

it is a Sanyko machine.. and the Model "A" "B" "C" refers to a nishijin machine but i would defenatly say it is a "B style" of machine and watching the model "B" video will help ya out..

looks to be a nice clean unit front and back nice find

That's a super-clean cell. Doesn't appear to have a bit of water damage. Very nice!!

True, no water damage to the cell (sorry I am new I was calling it skin by mistake) gotta get to know the terminology.

It seems to have a "stopper" in the ball shoot area. That is preventing the balls to get into the shooter. I tried to put over 350 balls in the feeder tray and also in teh playing tray but to no avail.
I will keep looking on how to reset it. I have no balls jammed in the machine.

It is a Sankyo, similar to Nishijin Model B

the low hooper stop is connected from the topp hopper in the back to the shooter out front.. there are lots of little pieces that make this safty work.. allot of the machines i have seen over the years had had good and bad attempts to bypass this feature.. with a good set of pics we can help ya identify the problem but practice, trial and error is what usualy learned me the right way to fix it

open the glass, then open the shooter tray and shoot a pic or two for us

    Hi Mopar,

We were replying back to the other thread. Sorry, I thought I should start a new thread with my problem, after posting the issue in this thread. I wanted to start the new thread with a more identifying title.

I did take some more pics. of the shooter area (front and back) with both "doors" open .

It seems that neither blue plastic piece that is supposed to move freely only moves when I move it . Not good. Not sure I like these plastic parts, my Nishijin model A is a bit different , as you know. trying to compare the two to see whats wrong with my Sankyo.

    Thanks !

the piece that lifts the balls to the shooter has several pivot points.. i would pull the "E" clips off all of them take them appart and give them a good cleaning

For cleaning the swivel points. Pull off the clips and/or screws and remove the component. Be aware that when you remove some of these moving pieces there can be very small washers and/or bushings associated. Most of these is to allow a reduction in friction... but some are spacers and getting those back on in the number of 'layers' can be key in making it work smoothly.

Onc you have the piece removed, use fine grade emory cloth clean and "shine" the swivel post. It's almost impossible to clean the inside of the tube that fits around the post but cleaning the post is relatively easy. For the post cleaning.. I pull off a narrow strip of emory cloth that is as wide as the post is long and about 4 to 5 inches in length. With this,, loop the cloth around the post and pull eash end alternatively creating a see-saw motion that will 'sand' the post. As you do this.. swivel around the post and get it all clean.

For re-assembly... DO NOT OIL.. just put the pieces back on. There should be no oil on these pieces. Again, be sure to reinstall the washers and bushings in the same order as they were originally.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

    Hey Guys !!

I took your advise, and took the e-clips off the pivot pieces for the ball shooter, and took apart the sticky pieces, man were they dirty !!! I took a tooth pick and cotton balls to clean the channels, now sqeeky clean !! Looks like something had spilled down the shooter assemble, the machine is very clean, except for this section...The shooter mech. works lilke a charm now !!! Thanks so much !

Now a couple of other issues, sometimes not all the time, but often enough during a win , the ball doesn't trigger the payout lever. See the ball in the attached pic. It sits on top of the lever, and doesn't seem to be heavy enough to trigger it. I can flip it to have the payout, but sometimes it doesn't trigger. Also I am missing a pin , not a biggie, but see pic. attached. Does anyone know where I can get a pin ??

Thanks for all your help, I love this forum ...

I fixed my problem with the intermittent payout issue. I unscrewed the housing that covers the long metal arm . unscrewed the pivot pin going through the long arm , and cleaned that real good... it was a bit dirty, probably just enough to cause some friction , so the winning ball couldn't always force down the metal lever . So far all my winnings are paying out now. YEA !!! .. I have a feeling piece by piece , I will be taking apart the back to clean.

So looks good ... Can't wait to find another Pachinko to "tinker" with ,...

Hey that's super that you managed to fix it yourself!!

I think that is a big part of the fun with the Vintages, marvelling at the mechanics and being able to sort them out
