Default 5 new machines from sale

I just bought 5 vintage machines along with 5 modern machines at a moving sale. These are my first vintage machines. It looks like they need a little work but I think I can get them up and going. Can anyone tell me what I have?

    Thanks

Picture #5 is a 1960's Single Ball (or Single Shot) machine. The rest look like Nishijin Model B's with various themes.

    Congrats on your acquisition!!

There are a couple of people here with the first "B" type you have pictured, the dolphins. Should be from around 1974 or so.

The 5 modern machines are shown on the following thread.
    "Can you identify this pachinko?"

Only one of the vintage machines has a transformer. Do I understand correctly that the transformer is only for lights or is it required for operation? What type transformer do I need. It looks like someone wired up a connector for a 9 volt transistor battery to one of them.

    So...Bat...

The big Question is where was this moving sale?, and what kind of deal did they give you for buying all 10 of them!!

What a better way to get into the hobby than to make a 10 item group purchase. You will have plenty of work ahead of you if you plan to get these machines working in tip top shape. I have no doubt that when you finish these vintages, you will know exactly how they work.

Good luck and let me know if you come across another moving sale, it may be worth driving over the mountains to get there

I happened across an ad for a moving sale on Craig's list. The sale was actually the weekend before I saw the ad. I sent an email to see if they were available and they were. It turns out it was only a couple of miles from my shop. I figured I might buy one when I got there. He said $300 for the lot so I took them all. Not sure if it was a good deal or not. What do you think? It will definately give me something to do this winter.

Most vintage pachinkos only need power for the few lights and will play fine without power..

Many people use a 9 volt battery for the lights..

There are some vintages that do need power to work like powerflash and circuit racer..ones with shooter knobs or solenoids..and some with fancier center features oh and the Nishijin KamLess frames with the mini ball lifter..

None of yours look to be any of those, but you can always post pics of te backs of your machines to make sure...Plus we like pics of the backs of machines!!

pic # 2 is a nishijin b. from 1975. it has the exact background as the one ive been lookin for(exect for the centerpiece..i want the lobster..ebira). have also seen it with a clown. there are no real names for the machines.(vintage ones). so make one up on the theme...like electric butterfly...all are very nice..at a great price...good luck!!!
