Question Sankyo magic party help need

    Hi guys,

been a while since i was last here! i have just brought a Magic party pachinko that is not working properly/faulty. got it home today cleaned out a ball jam in the ball return and given it a quick clean and check all connections.

when turned on it seems to flash random lights every now and then the tree moves its mouth. the screen lights up a little but no picture and the ball launcher seems to work ok. then randomly shouts a bit of Japanese!!

Does anyone have any usefull tips to try?? or even a manual (any language would be fine!) or could tell me how to operate these electronic machines (my last pachinko was a vintage one!!!)

any sugestions help much aprecieated really want to get it working and play it!

most pachinkos have a reset button, locate it on the back, put balls into the top rear hopper, hold in reset while plugging it in.

that should fix the person yelling at you

You have a machine that uses the VICTORY FRAME. They need to be at room temperature (70f) to work properly. Sometimes a few on - off cycles cures this issue.
Did you fill it with balls?

    cheers guys

yeh i read about the room temp thing i will leave it till tomorow to warm up as it has been living in the guys garage for the last few weeks!!

i guess the reset button is the one by the power button switch on the machine?

Can anyone tell me what the 9 settings are on the little 7 segment display relate to? at the moment it is set to a single dash in the middle is thins like the odds on a pachislo machine?

    single dash means "all good"

BTW... if lady doesn't stop yelling "tobira blah blah blah-imasu" or whatever (means that the door is open)... try checking door switches.

Definitely the room temperature thing, I've got two Magic Party pachinkos and both of them do this. Leave it switched on for about 5-10 minutes, then switch it off and on again and it should be OK. This issue doesn't affect all Victory frame machines, only the later ones with the 'Samurai Force' graphics chip, which tends to be quite temperamental at lower temperatures.

For details of the Error codes on the seven segment LED display on the back of the machine, there's a translated manual for this frame on my website which shows all of the codes.

Ah sankyo warm up time Should be good, some times the screen starts up once a ball goes in the start pocket. But otherwise as Daverob says, leave it on, after 10 mins swith off, then on and should be good, May need to repeat if doesn't work the first time.
Hope you got a lot of balls, You might need them once you hit the first fever

yeh bristol now!! moved about a year ago for my new job.

woooooo had it working for a bit this evening gave it a 10 min warm up while i removed the rusty balls from the tub o ball i got with it then restarted and all seems to be working fine (just forgot to plug the speakers back in so no sound!) just need to get the volume controll fitted then have a good play without it being super loud.

one thing i did notice is that the ball launcher seems to be a bit faulty it works at low power (not enough to get balls out of ramp) and then doesnt work till max power, i guess there are some contacts that need to be cleaned as even on max power it is a bit intermittent at launching the balls
