    Couple of interesting points:
-newspaper was placed in the shooter spring to make it react differently with every pull. this was to counter players using a pack of cigs or another standard to gauge how far down to pull the lever so the ball would hit the best tulip
    - there were 30 Pachinko Palaces in the US at one time
    - machines were steam cleaned by PP when they received them. the steam was so hot tht the parts dried before rust could set in
    - an arrangeball cost the parlor about 700 back in the day

Very interesting! I thought the rolled up newspaper was to dampen the sound of the spring! This makes more sense...because the sound of all those balls clacking around, plus the ball handling system, not to mention the blaring music, would make the sound of the spring almost inaudible!
If the cost, to them, for an arrangeball was $700...I wonder what they resold them for!! Understandable why they are so uncommon here!.
    Thanks for sharing that!
