The first area of the chart is the songs the machines play during fever rounds.
The second area are the 2 round fever types
even I am not sure what the third part is
The fourth area are the reaches that the machines have
And the last part shows the timed rounds that the Evangelion series have

Nice to see a summary of the differences between the four machines. If I could only get one more it would definitely be the fourth machine.

I hope this doesn't sound like a silly question, but what is a reach?

A reach is when you get 2 of the same number and it is trying to get the 3rd. it can just stop or play a video and the Eva series have a ton of them (4gb on Eva 3)

Oh, that's what it is. During the reach is there anything you can do to make it get the 3rd number or is it already preprogrammed? On mine pachinko (not an Eva) I've tried shooting lots of balls to get them in the pocket during a reach, but I don't think it did any good.

I'm going to try to find some Eva videos to check it out. Thanks.

There's nothing you can do during a reach other than watch the action and hope it comes up w/ the 3rd number. If I have 4 spins banked during a reach I generally stop shooting until the reach is over. On the Eva machine though, I've reached a point where I can tell for sure that it's going to fever during a particular reach. During these or near the beginning of them it does some extra stuff you don't see during most of the non-winning reaches.

This 'extra stuff' is known as yokoku ('予告' - google translates as 'notice' or 'notice action'), and is common on most machines, indicating a higher probability of hitting a fever during a reach.

Quite a few of the manufacturers have pages for each game describing the different yokoku, and telling you which ones are more likely to indicate an imminent fever.

On some games the chance button does come into play during a reach. Either you make a selection or pound it repeatedly.
