Default Original pachinko box from the 1970s. what should I do with it

a recent multi machine deal, netted me three 1970s machines and the card board shipping box one of them came in. The box has black graphics that depict a stylized pachinko machine. Its very cool. I have never seen another one. The problem is that the condition of the box is fairly poor. so the question is what should I do with it? I was thinking that i might cut the box and frame the (2) graphics. but the box is a survivor, so that might be the wrong thing to do.. anyone have any suggestions?

Given the niche nature of our market, I'd recommend looking at it like any other box. Is it pretty solid, no sides collapsing, would feel confident shipping something in it? Then keep it as is.

Is it so softened and collapsed that you wouldn't store anything in it, much less ship anything breakable with it? Then go ahead and cut it and frame the parts of it.

That is what I did with one of mine.

I also got another front of a box I saved but haven't gotten to framing yet (though it is double the size)

Though do please post a picture of the graphic on it when you get a chance.

ps. that was a cheap like $18 frame I bought at Michaels think it is 18x24".

Love the 'Face design varies' disclaimer on the packaging. Basically it sez, what you buy is what you getz. Great color, have never seen a box in color before. Was that Pachinko Palace or something like Woolworths, Montgomery, or some other chain from the 70s?

Oh there were, pachinko palace for one. I grew up going to those and other pin game places. Definitely, west coast and other mid and east had places like this. Lined the walls with pachinko.

Here is what that box I got the graphic from looked like. Seems that is was just from a general importer like Pier 1 imports. Also seems someone couldn't read the side of the box very well.

Here is the other box graphic I want to frame at some point. (Actually I don't think it is this one exactly. I think I have one in better shape that I cut off. And it is printed in red I think.)

Pier 1 was a big importer of 'stuff', and definitely recall in the PacNW them doing it for a while along with the other mentioned (Mont Ward, etc) during the 70s. Of all the things in the photos, the yellow/red label is worth framing. The rest, sadly is just packaging that is rather ragged. But it might somehow make sense to save and store it in a frame. I don't have graphics like that, so its cool regardless to have original packaging. I just seem to find folks with machine, that they don't want, and generally are happy to find someone that can appreciate them (and do something with them). Neat finds for sure.
