Keep in mind that mine is a different make/model but take a look if you can't wait to call the seller. I have mounting plates that have offset screw holes. When anchored the counter slides over it and locks in place with a tiny tab. The fun part is the release to this tab is behind the center circuit board which is behind the light board.

On my battle counter there are various sized plastic tabs like the ones I circled below. I gently pressed these away from the boards to lift them up and out. For the display part on top I had a tab at the bottom edge which released the circuit board with the cover over it. This was easier than using the upper tabs. Watch out for the short ribbon cables underneath that might be fragile. After releasing the tops pieces I could then release what was a single center board to expose a locking tap the holds the counter to the wall mounting plate.

Yours will probably be a bit different but I hope this helps you sort it out.

Do you have a make and model number on your battle counter?

Looks like a DLZ1? Looking at the backside of this one on eBay there appears to be a lock tab just off the center point.

One last question for once I am home. In terms of providing power to the battle counter would you need a seperate transformer or can you wire it in with the same transformer as the machine? (And if so what's the easiest way to do so)

Should be able to give an update in 30 minutes but I assume I'll be able to get it off no problem now.

Or do they just get power by being hooked up to the machine?

They need 24Vpower. You can tap into the transformer on each machine if you have sizeable amperage like 15amp. Not sure on the draw though. You could also run a separate transformer for multiple counters. I have both kinds of setups.

If you have a wire set off the unit with a large yellow and red (about 12-14 gauged size) those are typically the power inputs. You could splice them into a transformer with something like these. Both work well but look into what size fits your wires. Be sure to attach them on the machine side of the transformer.

Some wire harnesses can also be daisy chained for the power. Lay out your wires to figure that out before you cut anything.

Hooked it back up exactly as it was when I was removing from the cabinet. Any reason one has red where other other has yellow?
