Default Tulip nail type and replacement question

Hello - long time lurker first time writer etc.
My current project is remaking a vintage Super DX. I'm not accustomed to these fastener types shown in the image - a nail with a flat end. I can remove that fastener no problem but then what do I do to replace it?
I'm 3D printing new tulip flippers (changing the design a little) so removing the old ones needs to be done.

    First

The Tulip mech was made to be Strong, durable, inexpensive to produce .

So the nail fasteners were "staked" like we use welding or glue to hold it together so those nails were squished flat by a hydraulic press to secure the assembly.

If you want to keep original maybe a ball peen hammer and a small anvil or a good pair of vice grips or , of course a hydraulic press.
When things don't go right the 1st time , Step back ,Take a break and come back renewed. RGS
