The first step is to admit you have a problem:

But while cleaning is often a first step, it doesn't change the hoarder's behavior. Over time, the home fills up, and the hoarder is again overwhelmed.

To reverse the cycle, most hoarders need counseling and follow-up treatment. In Central Florida that's generally handled on a case-by-case basis, though some agencies, such as the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, have teams specifically trained to help elderly hoarders.

I will save you, just send me your Pachi's and that way you will not hoard.
Having 70,000 Pachinko Balls is not hoarding, It is an investment.

"The treatment is available," said Luz Rivera, program director of the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. "But it's not tied up neatly with a bow."
Is it tied up neatly with one of those squiggly lanyards and attached to the back of every pachislo machine I own? They ARE therapeutic.......

i have to put my 2 tokens in on this to see if anyone agrees here.....to all of us hoarders of our MANY machines and TOYS here on this site......5 things we have to do so the gov. cant come in our houses and take our toys away in trash trucks because of a safety hazzard......1 when we drop our balls on the floor pick them up so we wont fall down when we step on them......2 never stack machines more then 2 high so they dont fall over and trap us underneath them.....3 when playing machines wear eye protection so no metal objects hit us in the eyes when we hit the BB........4 if we think we need medical attention try to make it outside so when the medical help arrives they cant see our machines.....5 always have another stash of machines somewhere else just incase of an emergency...........AFTER READING THIS AND OTHER STORIES LIKE IT I WONDER JUST EXACTLY WHERE I LIVE ANYMORE BECAUSE THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE OUT THERE TELLING US HOW WE SHOULD LIVE AND WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE.........AT-SLOTS

Hmmmmm..........It was true, except for the uncashed check thing. I make sure all my checks are cashed so I can hoard more things.
