Default Yamasa Tekken Machine Error. Need help!

I have a Tekken theme machine by Yamasa. It was working flawlessly last time I played it, which was well over a year ago. It sat unplugged since then. Now, when I power it up the video screen is blank, but the LCD backlight is still ON.
The game works normally (without the video) but after 30 seconds the alert loop sounds. No error codes are given.

    Things I've tried:
The obvious key turn reset procedure
Re-seating the coin hopper and checked for jams
Visual inspection of components / capacitors / loose cables

I wanted to see if this is a common issue or noob mistake before I start taking everything apart.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
I'll update you guys if anything changes...

    I try a Full/Hard Reset.

(My reply isn't showing up. Trying this again.)

I've done the reset sequence a few times while troubleshooting. No luck.
I also discovered that my 2 menu navigation buttons aren't working. I should at least get the sound effects if it was functioning properly, minus the video.

I was able to identify the power, video, and backlight cables and tried re-seating them. Again, no luck.

Wanted to add an update about my video issue. The video circuit board seems to have some discoloration surrounding one of the chips. This area is at the bottom / center.
My engineer buddy helped me test each of the components with a voltage meter, and we found a few trouble spots. Evidently something overheated or shorted out.
Might just be out of luck this time. Currently looking for a replacement part, but I'm sure it's a long shot.

OK...Interesting development to report. (I'm talking to myself aren't I)...
There are two buttons in the front: Select and OK. These buttons control the on-screen menu navigation (character select, stats, etc).
Typically, each input will have a light indicator on the main board. But these two buttons are different. They light up a tiny red light on the video board when pressed.
On a random hunch, I held the OK button down and switched the machine on and just held the button pressed.
AND The video just blinked on after about 5 seconds!!
So, now that it's working I was afraid to turn it off, cause it might never come on again. I left it running for about ten minutes, and it fell back to an error state.
I have a few ideas now, so I'll check back in when I have more info.
